When the lot from South West London, got their c.ocks served up to them in a Munich stylee.....
I’ve been thinking........granted I’ve had a drink.
But.........

Three questions.

Who is the best player you’ve seen for us?

Who is the best player you’ve seen live?

Who is the best player you’ve ever seen?

1......Rodney

2.......George Best

3........Pele

What’s going on?

We should be told

Sort it out

1. Wilkins.
2. Messi
3. Messi

Reasons

1. I've seen Stan and Rodney but I was too young to count that. So it's Ray. Changed our club forever.
2. Was lucky enough to see him score his first goal for Barca. He was 11 and only a sub, but I saw him.
3. No words.

Adel. Used to love Wegerle too but Adel was a different class.

Gerrard and Beckham for England

Maradonna, never forgive the cheating bstard for the handball in 86... But that was his tournament. He was class.

Poll: Warburton, What's next?

1; Stan Bowles, but only just as Rodney Marsh and the wonderfully talented Dave Thomas are very, very close seconds.

2; Gonna have to say Liam Brady (excluding 1; above).

3; Lionel Messi, seldom watch the Tele but I did watch Barca play RM a while back and strewth I ended up watching the whole game due to being awe struck by Messi, he was just impossible that night, never seen a performance like it from one player before or since.

They're you go Mr Z as requested you've all been told and I'll sort it out later.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Very difficult question but non QPR I reckon David Silva at LR in 2012 would take some beating.

Who is the best player you’ve seen for us?

- Adel, I'm too young to have see too many of the greats but hey...he was special

Who is the best player you’ve seen live?

-Hard to pick between Messi the obvious one and Iniesta who I was honestly shocked seeing him live how good he was.

Who is the best player you’ve ever seen?

-As above I think. Got to be Messi ultimately

1. Stan Bowles

2. Will cheat and give three sub-choices: a) Carlos Vela for LAFC, left foot almost as magical as Stan's, b) Bobby Charlton, brother and I saw one of his last games in football for Preston North End when he smashed in a fabulous volley from 25-30 yards out, and c) Roy Keane at Loftus Road in one of his last games for Forest before being sold to Man U.

3. Hate him but...Maradona.

Generally stayed away from highest level football, but...
Romario
Hoddle
Valeron (Deportivo) - took Arsenal apart in the Champo League

Honourable mention for Kinkladze

Like the mention of Hoddle. Was thinking of him for my list: his passing was out of this world.

Unbelievable sight, smashing what looks like a hopeful long ball, but able to drop it on a dinner plate like a quarterback.

1.....Rodney

2.... George Best

3....Too many to choose. Maybe Maradona.

I believe the player who had the biggest impact on Rangers and their style of play and turned us from an old Div 3 side was Les Allen. Before him we just gave it to the wingers to cross to big forwards. He transformed us and was a very intelligent and experienced player.

I'd love to hear more abut that, Davie. This info is gold.
I know that he came from Spurs and Arthur Rowe's push and run style, but do you know if it was he, Stock or both that moved us towards the passing game?

Just a quick mention of Gareth Bale. Was it A.C. Milan he tore a new one?

I’d go along with that
1) Stan (above Rodney as he did it regularly against the best teams in the country)
2) Roy Keane (out of this world that afternoon but immense every time I saw him)
3) Maradona (just above Pele for winning a World Cup with not the greatest of sides)

I'm a bit too 'young' to remember Les Allen's impact and would love to hear more.

Brian, Les came from Bill Nicholson's Spurs who won the double in 61, the cup again in 62 and the Cup Winners Cup in 63. Arthur Rowe managed the 1951 championship side and he invented the push and run style. Unfortunately, Les featured less for Spurs after they signed Jimmy Greaves in December 61.

Which one of those three played for QPR?

Bowles
Best
Pele

Honourable mention for Duncan Edwards who died in Munich 58. I never saw him and footage is very rare but Bobby Charlton says he was the best he saw and he was around for all from about 1950 onwards. So Di Stefano, Pele, Maradona, Messi it might have been very different if Edwards had not died at 21, shortly before the 58 world cup.

Wilkins but hoping one day I can say Eze...
Messi but with special mention of Carles Puyol who played as a marauding wingback for Barcelona and absolutely terrorised the opposition.
Paul Gascoigne if only for the vision and flair - that goal against Scotland...if only he hadn't screwed up his knee and someone had helped him with his demons.
