I remember borrowing his autobiography from a sleepy public library a few years ago. The library assistant's face lit up when she saw it and we had a long great chat about shared memories such as Hammy Odeon 1980. Don't think the queue behind was very impressed.

Saw them at Reading 1980ish and blew me away as a 16 year old (i only knew Doctor Doctor then really) and then again at Guildford and then most recently a couple of years ago at Dorking Halls (!). Truly a band that should've made the world stage but i probably like them all the more for not having done so. Strangers is one of the best live albums of all time, as has been said here already.
