That said - not sure he’s actually played for Senegal yet - only been in their squad.

I think I’m right in saying that Marc bircham had joined the welsh squad before deciding to play for Canada as it would either;

1) mean he could fulfill a life long urge
2) stand a better chance of winning a major trophy

...there’s still a chance he could decide to play for Switzerland
