What tier are you in? on 11:51 - Nov 26 with 1470 views | francisbowles | Tier 2 for me, south coast between Bournemouth and Southampton. Tier 1 before lockdown. Seems that only three areas Cornwall, IOW and Isles of Scilly in now tier 1.
What tier are you in? on 11:59 - Nov 26 with 1437 views | ted_hendrix | We'd have been Tier1 as our postcode and my APP is showing reasonably low IR's and deaths but I reckon we've been lumped in with Oxford who were running a high IR's a while ago. Your never gonna a get a fair Tier which ever way you look at it, where the bloody hell do the boundaries end?

Same here Ted, your absolutely right. It's probably the right decision. Unless you can prevent people moving between different tiers, then it is inevitable that if you are close to a high area, then you will have the same level. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
What tier are you in? on 12:08 - Nov 26 with 1377 views | PinnerPaul | Tier 2 it is then - which means most teams in Southern half of country will be able to have 2,000 fans back whereas most teams in the North won't be allowed to have any. Won't be long before Liverpool and the two Manchesters start bleating that its unfair - and to BE fair I think they have a point. PS Its the Isle of Wight Clive for that post match drink and no need to bake me a cake!

Wow! You'd think that would be an advantage for us, given how much many of the players have said fans influence games positively.

No, but I would be amazed (and pleasantly surprised) if that was allowed. Otherwise, there's no real point to the Tier system if you're allowed to freely travel from one to the other to attend football matches or similar. The only precedent I have for this so far is the guidance that was in place for England Athletics pre-Lockdown 2, where athletes in Tier 3 areas were not allowed to travel to competitions in Tier 1 and 2 areas. Which is also a ballache if that continues to be the case as I have a half-marathon in Milton Keynes in December...

with the mixed mesages coming out i doubt they havent thought about fans who might be in a high tier travelling to a game in a lower tier ,

I'm still tier 3 its pretty straightforward regarding travel "avoid travelling to other parts of the UK, including for overnight stays other than where necessary, such as for work, education, youth services, to receive medical treatment, or because of caring responsibilities. You can travel through other areas as part of a longer journey"

Well they said that they weren't going to have areas within areas, so all 32 London Boroughs will be treated the same I think.

One of the questions I posed earlier in the week. Obviously we will play teams in tier 1, some match officials will come from tier 1 , as will some media and others who work at the stadium. I'll be surprised if the club is going to be able to/will bother to check every fans address and see what tier they are in. As DaveB told me, its a fruitless exercise trying to make 'sense' of it all!
What tier are you in? on 13:38 - Nov 26 with 1100 views | Toast_R | Tier 2 but might aswell be 3. Will I be going to the pub to have a substantial meal? No. The pub industry is fubar. Unlucky for them that Covid understands not to mess with someone who has a burger with his chips as opposed to just chips. [Post edited 26 Nov 2020 13:41]
