Hail to Netflix, my saviour. 12:02 - Jan 17 with 2843 viewsSnipper

I’ve had Netflix for years, and I’ve only watched a few things on there in all that time.

Before Christmas, I watched The trial of the Chicago Seven. It was a great film. On Christmas Day, my sister was telling me to watch a series called Ozark. She explained what it was about, so we thought we’d give it a try. My missus and I were hooked straight away. We watched all 3 series over the next week and a bit. Can’t wait for series 4.

When that was done, I said to the missus that we should watch another series about drug gangs called Narcos. I’ve heard loads of people say how good it is, so I thought I’d give it a go.
We finished the first series on Friday night. It was brilliant. Can’t wait to start watching the next series.

I can’t believe I’ve had Netflix all these years, and I’ve hardly used it up until now.

Netflix appeared on my TV after my son stayed a year or two ago, he used his mate's account but three logins are allowed, so we've really enjoyed Breaking Bad, Black Mirror and several others. Enjoying Ozark now and decided we ought to watch Better call Saul - looks good!

If youve never watched Netflix before and youre into Sci-Fi at all, particularly of a retro "Close Encounters" type, then you're in for a real treat with three seasons of "Stranger Things" to watch.

Money Heist is good so far (on episode 3)

Queens Gambit is fairly watchable

Norsemen is really silly but funny (series 1 and 2, less so series 3)

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it

It’s a spin off about the lawyer from Breaking Bad. Basically his backstory and how he became so dodgy.

I was about to type that you really ned to watch Breaking Bad before Better Call Saul but its just occurred to me that now their are 5 series of Saul it might actually be better to watch Saul first for someone coming to them fresh

Schitt's Creek is good fun.

And it has the lovely Annie Murphy in it too.

I got the Breaking Bad DVD Set as a birthday present so watched the whole thing and it was good.
Started to watch Better Call Saul and eventually gave up, thought it was poor in comparison to Breaking Bad with weak story lines that were getting weaker by the episode.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

The Spy has been recommended to me. Will watch when I’ve finished Narcos.

I think it’s a bit marmite and definitely slower than Breaking Bad. But I have to disagree about the storyline which gets stronger as it progresses.

Just the right age to have been a kid when The Karate Kid came out on Video back in the mid 80s. The obsession with the movie never grows old, me and my brother's many re-enactment of the All Valley under 18 Karate champonships in the living room and all the kids at school copying the "if done right no can defend" crane Kick, but mainly because the bad guy Johnny was the spit of one our our friends older brother.

Three seasons of Cobra Kai on Netflix has been pure joy. Absolutey nailed it. Johnny still looks amazing for a fella in his 50s.

It'd be better if the vast majority of stuff wasn't so sh!t.

I wish they'd get our Clive making TV programmes; i'd bet he'd do much better.

I just finished the incredible movie/documentary called The Dawn Wall about 2 mad climbers who scaled a sheer wall in Yosemite National Park without any ropes .They slept up there every night in tents suspended on cables for almost 3 weeks .Madness but pretty powerful stuff.I will never complain about a blister or ingrowing toe nail again
