Not the biggest fan of Kane for obvious reasons, but looking at Kakay's recent games I wonder if he should be back starting.
Apparently Kakay lost the ball 'once every 2.5 touches and once every 4.5 minutes' against Boro. Completed only 57% of his 37 passes. I remember hearing Warbs say something before that this is how it works when building a team from younger players, that they do make mistakes but it gives experience and creates a better team. Which is so evident from Willock who i think has become one of our best players from his game time this season.

If we expect to be mid table next year then let's spend another year developing Kakay. If we expect to be pushing for promotion then I don't think he's a weak link currently. If Kane hasn't burnt his bridges within the squad then he's a better option but not enough that we don't still need an upgrade |  | | |

I think Kane is a more effective player than Kakay but both players tend to give the ball away a lot. When Kane is on his game he’s a very decent championship player. Kakay has not had a very good season for me but is useful and willing. If Adomah is now starting ahead of Kane then it seems likely the little weasel is on his way out. Kakay only has about 60 professional appearances, so still lots of room for development assuming that a player needs 100 games that we have seen with others such as Eze, Chair etc |  |

prefer kane, just, but makes sense to keep kakay for cover, or with drastic improvement, a permanent in that position. | |

There's a lot to like in both their games but I think there is more to come from Kakay. With Kane, I think we are unlikely to see any more significant development, other than consistency. If he can play his best game more often, he's a good selection. Don't sack off Kakay - he's the mid / long term bet and has the chops to go on to be a key player down the line. |  |

Kane is better than Kakay starting at Wing Back: no real comparison IMO. Kakay is useful on the bench as he can cover a few positions at the back. |  | | |

don't want to be negative as the squad is great at the moment but if we are to make a push for the playoffs next year then new full backs should be our priority. Wallace has been great this calendar year but he's coming to the end of his contract.
I worry that Kane and Kakay (and Hamalainen for that matter) aren't on the same level as the rest of the squad. They also have long contracts. |  |

Think Kakay has great potential but needs game time to improve. I'd stick him in as wing back for the last games, Bolasie caused him all sorts of problems much like Aguero did to Darnell.
OKK has shown he has great ball control, can cross, can tackle. Needs to work on positioning and concentration.

I am a Kakay fan, I am also a bit disappointed that he does not appear to have improved greatly over the season.
Despite that, and depending on availability of others, I think he will start.

I appreciate it's all easier said than done but I think the ideal scenario for next season is to sell Kane, loan Niko to league 1 for a full season, give Wallace a year on reduced terms and then sign a more orthodox RWB & LWB.
Again there's a lot to have to swallow there but Niko isn't good enough atm and neither is Kakay, but the latter is not far away and v useful as he can play multiple positions/systems and is always up for it. Kane will struggle to come back in front of crowds and even so, he's decent on his day but those aren't often enough - if we can get a fee then I'd take it. Wallace has been great since the new year, but he can't be relied upon, I'm getting big Matt Rose energy from him too.
There are enough teams throughout the leagues that are playing a wing back system that we will have options to find a more specialist player. I think we missed the boat with a few already in January, but hopefully the summer is when we get it right. Along with up front, these positions are the most important to make this system work, so let's go for it. |  |

I think Kakay will improve. This is his first full season. Means also we do not need to sign another CB after we sign the Dutchie. |  |

As an attacking RWB I've always liked Nathan Byrne since his Swindon days. Cheeky bid if WRDC go down? I don't think Albert can do the defensive duties of a RWB, he's more of an orthodox winger for me.
