Sorry, Cider. Wholly disagree. Ale did in the Premier League. Was on the verge of a call up to the Argentina squad a move to Spurs when he bust his knee half way through the season. Johansen has not done it in the Prem.
Off the ball, Ale won a lot more loose balls too.
Johansen is very good but Ale was comfortably better, IMO. He holds the “best since Wilkins” mantle.
Johansen for me is a combination of Faurlin and Wilkins. He has an eye for a pass that no one else can see, calms things down and will get stuck in and do the nasty side of the game. He's not been here long enough to be hailed as Faurlin was but if he stayed for a few years I think he might prove to be a better player. Hopefully we get to find out
