The 'Going back to what we do best but with still some issues ' match thread 13:03 - Sep 28 with 24351 viewsMyke

I thought I'd have a go. The last one I did was 3-0 v Coventry last season. Called it too. Don't think we'll repeat that, as clean sheets are like hen's teeth, going for 3-1. Two for Austin and Willock with the other

Attritional, but we're hanging in there, and threatening when we come forward.

Chair contributing his trade-mark, head-down miss when Dykes/Austin in great positions . . . and now SCORES!

I must complain more often! :-)

Dykes turns it over in the centre circle, puts Chair clean through for a 1-on-1, keeps his head, slips the goalie.

Art.

ILIAS!

Slipped through a mammoth gap in the Blues defence by Dykes and he slots it home left footed. Beauty.

Yeah he picked up a good position there, well done that man.

Chair seems to be playing with a point to prove tonight, after his game on Saturday.

Hardly surprising given we’re missing our first and second choice left-backs, first-choice centre back and two best midfielders! Given those absences, the conditions and Birmingham’s extremely agricultural approach to the game, I think we’ve done really well after an extremely scrappy start. We’ve been by far the better team and Chair has been head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch.

Uncle for Dykes, and Gray for Austin, who's not had a vintage night. Willock moving up to partner Gray.

We often take him for granted but Chair usually is the best player on the pitch by some distance. A real joy to watch and we should make the most of him.

Brum are looking really thin and error prone at the back as they try to force a goal

How did Dozza do?

He was ok, not outstanding but got some tackles in and tried to play progressively.

None of them have been an improvement as of yet.

Think it is always difficult to come off the bench in these type of conditions. Not done a great deal.

Though I did predict a 3 -0 ...so push on lads.
