Totally shocked by that. Was just watching an interview with him on Sky this week talking about his plans for London Spirit in the Hundred and watched his biography on Prime with my son.
Goodness me!! Terrible news - right after Rod Marsh, who he'd just paid tribute to.
RIP Shane - I remember that 'ball of the century' to Gatt so well (1993) and many other (sportingly painful) memories. An absolute shoe-in for an all-time World XI.
Really awful, tragic, news for his family and all of Australia.
Really shocking news. Best bowler I’ve ever seen. Incredible character and got to play around with Liz Hurley. Tragedy that he’s gone but he really lived life.
I'm sure we are all recalling 'that' delivery to Gatting. Started somewhere heading for Liverpool, took out his off stump heading for Chester and Gatts hadn't a scooby what had hit him.
Bowled Warnie...

Absolutely gobsmacked by this. Greatest cricketer of my life time for me the Greatest Captain Australia never had . Was immense in the 05 Ashes and had the pleasure of chatting to him a few times a very bright man fully interested in much more than Cricket

I never realised that was his first ball in Test Cricket in England.
Genuinely shocked, absolutely no age at all. Hated at the time watching him (and McGrath) frequently demolish England home and away in the 90s and 00s but you now realise you were watching genius.
