I was out there for the whole tour. We have real problems. Nothing will change until Tom Harrison (ECB Chief Exec and a complete wnker) is gone. We've got to start again from scratch. The County Championship needs sorting and given primacy, and The Hundred needs taking down. None of this will happen though because, much like the EFL, the ECB are incompetent and/or self-serving wnkers [Post edited 31 Mar 2022 20:20]

couldn't disagree with any of that. Got a couple of days at Lords and Oval this Summer but suspect I'll be more focussed on long lunch and tea sessions in Coronation Gardens and good company. Management needs to change rapidly as does Rooty as capt....and then start the slow and properly considered build. |  |

Bottom line is $$$$$$$$ and the CC doesn't make enough compared to T20 and The Hundred. I'm sure the ECB still does well from the summer Tests, but if the England team continues to perform badly they'll shift less tickets for that too.
Anyway I'm expecting lots of empty gestures and you can be sure any changes the ECB does make will probably make things worse (possible proposal to reduce 18 counties to 12?? Good luck with that.) Maybe try playing the CC through the summer rather than at either end of the season, that might help for a start. |  |

Middlesex member here, can’t wait for a weeks time when the season starts, I’ll be at lords next Thursday and Friday
RE hundred, I got tickets for all the Lords games last year, because as a Middlesex member we were offered them for 10 or £15. One was washed out, one game was not competitive and I skipped the last two and got refunds (I said I was self- isolating)
I swore not to buy tickets this year… however, fear of missing out made me buy a couple, especially when I saw the London spirit had the first pick, in the draft. Hoping to see Mitchell Marsh or barbar azam. I also want to spend some balmy August nights at HQ, and this is the only way to do so
It does make me laugh seeing the social media comments by parents saying what a great time they had and how it was great to take the kids. Have they not heard of T-20? also, with the doubleheaders, it makes it a really long day, so much longer than t20.
The Royal London cup has been relegated again to a second rate competition. Middlesex play all the games at Radlett, not lords. Because of the hundred.
Why oh why the ECB didn’t develop the T-20 blast into something bigger, brighter, more accessible to families, more so than it already is? [Post edited 1 Apr 2022 10:37]
