Because I wouldn't have dropped him and I suspect he won't be dropped by the new coach.
Anyway, not sure what the Windies has got to do with it? They tried something different in the Windies and it failed miserably. Mark my words, Broad will be playing in the 1st Test of the Summer (and very likely most/all of them this Summer). Make him interim captain whilst the new coach works out where to fcuking start with building a Test team from the ashes of Test cricket caused by the ECB's negligence/mismanagement [Post edited 16 Apr 2022 15:56]

But the captain isnt just a captain, he is a defacto selector, chooses the bowlers, chooses the fields, you can't just give it to the best player, thats what we did with Root and it showed against good Test captains. | |

A few of my mates are in the 'Vince should be captain' camp. The only thing is I don't think he's quire good enough to be a Test class batsman (am I even allowed to say 'batsman' any more? Who gives a fcuk, I'm saying it anyway) so that could cause a problem very quickly.
