Nice work and well done, lad. Almost definitely being lined up for a loan this season - hopefully to a league club.

Assuming that Walsh will do the same and then step in to replace a freshly sold Dieng as 1st choice next summer, that's a well thought through strategy and a position taken care of for the long term.

I remember a few years ago,a snooker player (or maybe it was darts , anyway, one of those 'sports)'called Shawn Murphy had no Irish blood in him . I suppose the clue was in the way he spelled 'Shawn'

You might be thinking of thr snooker player Shaun Murphy? He is definitely English although is based in Dublin these days!

Another one for you though, apparently Jake Clarke-Salter is open to representing Ireland

You're probably right - I knew it wasn't 'Sean' anyway. Interesting about Salter, one area we are well covered in, but looking forward to seeing him in action this season

That’s the type of name you expect to read as having flown sorties over Germany between 1943-45 and whose obituary in The Times concluded: ‘...died in Pune after a fall from a polo pony aged 87’. He is survived by his 46 year old wife and ex-Miss India, who is the youngest daughter of the Maharajah of Rajasthan and their 4 children.’

"He will be remembered by all who played fives with him at Harrow, Eton and various Commonwealth embasssies. A ferocious and fiery competitor, but a beloved raconteur and advisor once hostilities on the court were parked and gin was served in in the bar.

Halwax was a friend of the common man always, and was once reputed to tip the Pimms-wallah even before he got drunk".
