As opposed to playing Field at LB?

Facts speak for themselves, Morgan and Kolli nowhere near the first team, while Tuck had to find somewhere to go on loan and ended up at Hampton.

Either Nourry has jettisoned the 'develop our own' or JS is not having it.
I can see this all ending in tears come the summer.

Unfortunately Tuck is now missing in action at Hampton. Not played last couple and not on bench so must be injured. Also Unfortunately I talked him up and from that point he lost a bit of form. He really struggled against Eastleigh. Could of done with him away at Worthing on Sat where injuries etc meant we could only name 3 outfield subs. Battered 3-0.

I'm just not sure Kolli is that good. He's not quick, he's not tricky, he's not strong... he just sort of exists in the forward positions

I’m also struggling to see the strengths of Kolli and certainly where he fits in this team, if he isn’t good enough (and we don’t get to see training) he won’t get in and with a fully fit squad his absence doesn’t surprise me. Also rumours of a questionable attitude which may not help.

Got to jump in here.
Whether Kolli is ultimately good enough at this time is a valid argument.
But the lad is barely out of his teens!!
Some of the criticism here is poor.

And one more thing .
I don’t know the lad . But I know people that do.
By all accounts his attitude is spot on .
He is kean, eager to learn , wants to play and like any footballer , gets disappointed when he isn’t involved. The problem may well be his father on occasion but that’s not the kids fault .

Unfortunately, it appears that certain people at the top of the club have had their noses put out of joint by his old man and more recently , him fronting up to the fans at Coventry.

To me it showed maturity and responsibility.
But not everyone at the club was impressed by it believe me.

If he puts the shirt on then he will get my support.....I am not one of these people that 'boo' or slag off our own players during the match - it is very wrong imho.

I am very unsure if he is good enough tbh, he does not impress me & think it will be very unlikely that he will be good enough.

I am not sure how posters or supporters question his attitude unless they are actually involved with him.

Sadly, as I stated, I understand that his Father may be the issue.....what I can say is the Club will not accept bad vibs and his son will be 'dumped' accordingly whether he is good enough or not.

As opposed to RND and Field. Both Morgan and Kolli have played for the 1st team and quite likely will again, but they may benefit from going out on loan along with Esquerdinha in January for the rest of the season.

As I recall, Kolli refused to go out on loan. Not a good start if true.

I too am not overly impressed by him and feel he runs around a lot like a headless chicken

HOWEVER

In a podcast last year, when Chair was interviewed, he said Kolli was the most skilful player in the squad. So to me, he knows better than I do, so I'm happy to give him time - But we have learned from experience (and Gazza has highlighted Shodipo) we need to ensure we don't get burnt again

I disagree I think the kid is a very good player, maybe he needs to move somewhere where the club and fans appreciate his talent more.

"I can see this all ending in tears come the summer."

It's what we do, sigh .

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

I have seen Kolli mostly play wide for the first team that I can recall. He would get murdered in the middle of the park, absolutely......never seen him make a 50/50 tackle!!!

What is the difference between Kolli & Shodipo?? Both a couple of weaklings, both are slight compared with many professionals.

Very average player and cannot see him 'making it' at Rangers.

Will he get another chance??, probably but it will not be for long.

He's played in the middle numerous times for the first team and he's very far from weakling. He's strong and 6 ft tall.

He offers a lot more than Frey, For a club who bang on about player development from youth I find it bizarre that he's not even on the bench

That's the problem. We only want physically weak and height-challenged individuals playing in similar positions. Saito, Dembele, Smyth take your pick.

None of whom along with Vale are close to achieving what Kolli achieved in just 21 games last season: 5 goals, 3 assists. But yes, all of the above are playing so well at present scoring and creating chances aplenty for our forwards.

I mean, we've been doing it all over the pitch since Coventry. It just went under the radar when the results were ok and we were hitting sixth.

Kolli is good player, can he become a Champ player?
Only way to find out is to play him. He should be on the subs bench.

Dembele refuses to run back, starting to look like this years boo boy, I bet Madsen will be happy about that.

Dembele is a number 10 in my view, hes the replacement for Burrell if he gets injured or loses form. Frey is Kone's replacement for the same reason.

The squad is strong now we have fit players back, LB is our big weakness and also GK now with Nardi's loss of form or being found out.

We need to sign a LB in the Jan window, even if it's on loan. Esq is not ready not even as a sub, Field will have to step if RND is not fit. As really we cannot rely on Field and Esq to back up RND who is not that great anyway.

Morrison had a mare against Ipswich so I suspect Mgs will be back in for him. Smyth will be back in for Vale, who also played poorly. Varane maybe in for Hayden as well.

Could be another slew of rotation changes for JS this week.

zzzzzzzzzz

I’m on the record with my views on Rayan

Sadly it seems he’ll need to head off to fulfill his promise
I’d love to see him follow the same path as Illy or Eze at a Stevenage or Wycombe type move and return here with a rep and fully invigorated.

There’s talk of how strong our squad is now on this thread and elsewhere.
I don’t see it.
Keepers are a disaster zone.
Defence lacks a time served right back, we don’t have a left back of our own, Cook is creaking, Mbenge is a liability and Morrison still lots to learn.
Great to see Illy back in midfield but Hayden never did it for me and still doesn’t, Field out of favour/ form…. So where’s the bite?
Kone is another I’ve not yet fully warmed to and he’s not being pushed so looks kinda comfortable.
If you’re a Morgan or a Kolli or a Bennie and not getting considered amongst that lot then I think you’re right to be VERY disappointed to be honest.
I do think calls for these players to be thrown in might be very loud this time next week as I expect us to be on the end of a five game losing streak.

It’s a QPR tradition that players abilities increase alongside absence during losing runs.
The formula will be strong next International break

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Kolli’s a lucky man.

He could be Burrell or Kone, or even Burrell and Kone, sprinting towards goal as forwards should do, defenders desperately sprinting back with the only thing between them and a goalscoring chance is the left sided player, ball at his feet, pull the trigger and that one big opportunity arrives.

But then, the fcker cuts inside, as per, and decides he’s going to take on all four defenders himself.

Yep, Kolli is a very lucky man.

One of the only players who went over to the crowd at the end of that game despite being one of the youngest. My respect for him went up significantly.

Joe Biden offers more than Frey, certainly over 15 yards!

There is so much speculation that it's hard to work out what's really happening here. However, if it's the father causing issues, then QPR's hand might well be forced, and so be it. Whatever the 'issue' is, a bloody good loan might sort it out for everyone

Frey is not doing well this season.....Is he, currently, more important to the Team, I think so.

However I do find it difficult to understand why Kolli is not involved when the Club talk about 'young players'. In saying that I do not believe that he is good enough for Championship football and arguably ever will be. Only time will tell.

I repeat, his Dad needs to keep quiet, he may be influencing Club decisions.

I actually thought he played really well when he came on against Bristol City but I can't remember if he's been in the squad since

He needs a loan but I don't know if that will go down well with his family
1
Kolli on 11:57 - Nov 4 with 1575 viewsBazzaInTheLoft

It's really not beyond the capabilities of the club to handle a mouthy Dad, if that really is the case. They seemed to be able to deal with him him when he got that contract signed.

His Dad will be leaked as a reason for his departure when he goes to Lille. Expect the usual accounts to spring up again.

I don't know if I am missing something, but I've always found him (and his stats) relatively impressive.

They don't like him because he mouthed off in the canteen. It's the worst kept secret at the club.
