Some wonderful tributes from fans on Johnny Vaughan's show on Radio X tonight. One fan said they met Mani at a gig a few years ago, shook his hand and said thanks for the music to which Mani replied 'no, thanks for keeping me off the dole'.

Chatted about his time at the Pifco hair dryer factory at Failsworth and he was stunned I knew he'd worked there. He got sacked for chinning a manager.
