Sounds like Nourry's men want to go in a different direction?

Poll: Moses Odubajo - Stick or Twist?

Feels like someone has passed away at the club. Gutted.

I just can't get over how QPR continue to shoot themselves in the foot time and time again. It's like the planets have never aligned for us to function like a normal football club (even if normal doesn't exist in football)

One step forwards but 3 steps back.

It's the QPR way. I'm tired and want to get off for a rest for quite a while.

Modern day football for you! Sigh!

Poll: Do you think this current QPR team has got what is takes to go up this year?

Opinions are the meat and drink of message boards but ITK’s are just a bit tiresome.

I ageee with every word of that, Beckenham.
And not just now - I think I've pulled more posters on here for ITK's than almost anyone else has.

But the ones I've pulled have all been new posters who no-one knows, who come armed with a wealth of information about today and very little if any about yesterday. We've seen their type before.

When posters who're online for decades, who're known at home for decades, who're known away for decades, who have a track record of being calm, of being considered, of being caring, are telling me that I should be concerned for my club, well, then I'm listening.

Can only echo these thoughts Brian. I have absolutely no inside knowledge nor personally know anyone who does, but if certain posters are coming together I will give that more truck than the ones who mysteriously come and go.

This is another major cross against Nourry for me. I don't like what he is doing to the club - yet again I find myself wondering where the absentee owners are. If I owned this club I would be extremely concerned, I certainly am as a fan.

It's such bad PR whether this is the best decision ever made at the club, the worst one or something in the middle.

The optics are just shit. Not an ounce of respect.

I’ve posted this so many times. This board and its trusted posters do not miss a trick.

Here we go again.

I’ve got to say, this episode does appear to be a particularly bad one.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

It seems that unsubstantiated info from ITK’s is okay as long as it aligns with your own opinions.
[Post edited 25 Nov 20:05]

Well, unless WLS are telling us something that is untrue, what's a fact is that someone who has a long association with the club, someone who most fans hold in high regard, has been moved on by the club. The club don't seem to think that this is even worthy of a mention. The CEO, who is presumably responsible for all of this, should be embarrassed.

Well he is the one in charge so not a huge leap to say he'll be invovled

I mean, right or wrong, if he's not involved what the f*ck is he drawing his salary for?

Reading the room on this one, my opinion based on no facts is that this was a decision that had been planned last season, but the development squad cup run and win, delayed things. The development squad was almost dismantled the next day and the optics of getting rid of Furs at the same time was one step too far.

I do get what you are saying and I usually roll my eyes at the whole ITK stuff with a lot of it just attention seeking but I've seen Hunter post on here for years and we haven't always seen to eye to eye on stuff but what I'll say about him is he has never come across to me like someone who would make stuff up to support his argument, he's always been fair and if he's saying this stuff I don't think it should be brushed aside as just gossip.

I personally think that Nourrys empire is built on sand and if things really do start going wrong on the pitch it will sink without trace.

Micah Hyde, also formerly of this parish, has joined Watford as Head Of Youth Development or something. Wouldn't be surprised to see Furs end up there.

Suggests acrimony which has further ramifications for the rest of the club.

If that is the case, the list is getting longer isn't it:

- External club media being excluded

- The whole anti Cifuentes PR campaign.

- Kelman writing in a Charlton program that he was treated abysmally.

- Cook stripped of captaincy for having the temerity to ask for his contract to be honoured (then later relied on)

- Nardi imminent departure leaked then recalled when the issues with Walsh emerged then dropped again when the instability hit his confidence and form

- Kolli bullied, told to leave, then exiled, then recalled when form dipped

Now it's not my the way I'd like my club to be run from a ethical standpoint but you can argue that CN, BW, and co have done some good work (they have) and that the policy of ruthlessness are a necessary evil when results are coming in.

But they haven't been have they?

I hope the new FSA sanctioned supporter representatives are reading this are intending to ask some serious questions.

I've been on the point of posting a very similar rap sheet several times.

The evidence is all there about this management and it keeps getting added to.

Heavy handed top down control, lack of experience, lack of competence, failure to read the room and paranoid impulsion to control the narrative is not a combination that gives me confidence this will all end well.

I mean, i'm just some dickhead who posts on a forum but I don't understand why our owners think that injecting a hostile corporate culture that works for airlines and steel corporations would ever work in an environment where high morale is crucial and employees are transient like a football club.

Is Furs in the Forever Rs ? Can’t see his name listed.

Disappointed, saddened, by this. I've been supportive of some of the changes at the club, but on this I can't any good reason for Furlong to he moved on. The best thing that has happened under Nourry is the transformation of the whole 'other ages' set up at Rangers, and Furlong has been integral in the success of that.

When he joined us I couldn't take to the bloke.

I sooned warmed to him though, he was a beast at beating up defenders In their penalty box without the officials knowing.

He knew It all and we'll miss him.

Was going to say the same thing i can't think of many strikers who beat up the oppos centre halves more than Furs. Would have him as striker coach to teach the dark arts!

Seen some odd stuff online - prominent supporters who used to be very critical suddenly praising CN every time he takes a dump. Actually seems to have gone quite toxic for a while ala Paladini footsoldiers. Not for me a sign of good health.

Personally gutted Furs is leaving.

Granted I don’t do twitter, but what’s happened over the last 2 months to make it go toxic? Or do you mean due to this story? Or are you talking about how it’s been since Nourry joined?

I do unfortunately and haven't seen anything of the like so I am interested about what he's talking about here. Have barely heard anything about Nourry on other platforms since the season has started and we can actually talk about football.

Sad news about Furs who has done amazing things for the club since returning behind the scenes and for the youth teams, true legend of the club

Hesitant to read too much into the increasingly inflammatory WLS to understand the full situation with this one. He has been here 13 years and perhaps had a say himself in moving on? Let's wait and see

Welcome back.

'And it has now been decided that Furlong will move on'

I mean, you could say it's fake news / increasingly inflammatory from WLS in that kind of Trumpian way but I really don't see how this phrase could ever be mistaken as a sign of a good willed departure.

All that aside, all this could be cleared up by Nourry / Ben Williams themselves if they engaged with QPR media properly.

Why does it always take Kolli's instagram, a Charlton Athletic program, or the WLS to address contentious issues at the club?

If I was a CEO under fire unfairly i'd be straight out to address the rumours via the very capable media team at my disposal.

If I was a CEO who who was guilty of those things i'd been accused of i'd stay silent or send others out to bat for me.

"Increasingly inflammatory WLS": what nonsense.

So inflammatory: reporting on matches, giving player ratings, an occasional podcast with David McIntyre - vet of 20+ years of the most reliable QPR news-gathering -and the so-controversial Kevin Gallen that he was the guest of honour on Saturday, had his photo installed in the Loft and was subject to a 90-minute interview in the official site. And sometimes breaking stories like these, the timing of which may not suit the club but the veracity of which can never be contradicted.

If you want examples of the tone from some accounts on X, it's like your own post: casting doubt on the source, knock their intentions, but conversely always, always giving CN and co the benefit of the doubt.
