Why was it so good? Just out of curiosity...

I love print and have full admiration for Dave (it's a small miracle he keeps it going) but the timescale limitations and the annoying way that football seems to flip-flop between extremes of emotion in a matter of hours these days makes it hard to seek it out.

Been reading AKUTRS since the last century.
The quality rarely dips and I love reading about the 60's/70's-being of a certain vintage.
But who can own up to having bought this mammoth doorstep of a book that Dave had published back in 2004?
Entitled "But First an Apology..The Very Best of A Kick Up The R's Volume 1" this is a book containing 600 pages A4 in size.I think it sold for £25.The cover featured a colourful montage of celebrating Rangers fans and the team celebrating promotion in 2004.Bottom right corner of the cover a small picture of a youthful looking Dave deep in thought!
Over 20 years on and I still flick through this massive tome and re-read certain articles again and again (to quote the Quo) .
Never ever seen this for sale on Ebay or anywhere else.
So anyone out there also got this fabulous book?

Me!

Also buy a copy of the magazine every time I hear the cry "Branewwishooo" and have also contributed a few musings now and then.

Always buy a copy when I see him (or someone selling it for him), as I find it a simple way to reward his achievement at keeping this piece of Rangers history up and running. That and he's a nice bloke.

Yep I have a copy.

And I've been a subscriber for many years.

Dave Thomas is a bona fide QPR legend.

Yep, guilty as charged and I have a copy too

Remember the build up to it too... When as per Dave's way, deadlines were pushed back and back

I subscribe to the £12 Patreon and get my digital copy of akutr's but I always try and buy a printed copy too. Trying to read the digital version in the bath on my ipad went horribly wrong once. I still have my best of book on my bookshelf too always gets an outing every now and then. The intro is written by our Chairman at the time Bill Power.......Blimey remember them days!!

I always say it's the best £12 that leaves my bank account every month.

I used to love getting AKUTRs for away trips I'd do mostly by coach, or just coming back from games. I think for many of us AKUTRs is part of our QPR journey.

That's not ideal mate, we've done podcasts on January 21, Feb 13, Feb 20 and another one this week and there's been two digital editions of AKUTR's which should have gone to your email.

If you DM me here with your email addy I'll forward you the last few issues, make sure you're on the list and see what your Patreon issues are...

Hi W9R,

i'm the guy that runs the Patreon on behalf of Clive.

I can see your account, it's active, and you have a gifted subscription for the rest of the year, so you should be receiving posts and notifications from us - i've sent you a DM on the Patreon, let me know if you've received it.

How do you interact with the Patreon - do you have the App on your smart phone, or do you log in via a laptop etc.?

couple of things to try - first of all, as Superhoops2808 mentioned, it's worth checking your spam folder for the email notification that gets sent out when we publish an article.

it's also worth both enabling Push notifications for the app on your phone, and connecting the Patreon to either Spotify or whatever podcast app you may use to listen - drop me a DM on here and i can troubleshoot for you.

Can we not knock it?

When we downsized and had to sadly 'let go' a lot of books I definitely kept this. A magnificent achievement.
