The money being spent/lost in League One atm is more alarming to me. Burton Albion losing £8.2m is insane.

Shocking really . We did field the youngest championship team yesterday which means we are getting things right on that front . Hopefully one of these youngsters will make us some big money going forward.

They'd need to make £20m simply for us to break even. I mean, don't rule it out but, equally, don't rely on it.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

It shows how important the owners are to our survival. I’m not suggesting that they can’t be criticised, but we need to avoid a toxic culture that would drive them away.

**"There are dark clouds hovering over the English football pyramid and it seems to me there could be a real collapse where only the Premier League survives."**

I'm looking at my QPR V Fulham programme 25th April 1972 the entrance fee back then was circa 35 Pence.

Nothing makes sense anymore, I'm trying to be positive but so many football clubs (and people) are living beyond their means.

It Is insane and will explode one day.

400m to agents, is that helping the game? maybe not championship but in footy that is crazy .
massive wages in championship , clubs need to budget for what they earn it may take a while but it will even out .

Roughly 50% of total income is shared between 22 clubs.

Now dont get me wrong, football should be a meritocracy, but that level it it just greedy

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it

No, from the outset, the owners said they would foot the bill without it affecting the club's accounts. The final payment, spread over 10 years, will conclude in 2027.

And the loss was shown in the accounts for the financial year that it ws applied.

The fine affects cashflow but not profit & loss.

We're losing £20m per year. And we aren't the worst.

I'm sure it will affect decisions to be made about player contracts. So, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Cook, allegedly the highest paid player, moved on. It may be ine of the reasons why Field was allowed to go on loan. And the drive to play the likes of Walsh, Morgan, Kolli, Bennie.
It wouldn't come as a shock if Chair was sold on - assuming he's fit.
Somewhere, sometime we are going to have to sell player(s) for £5m+
