| Visit of Bristol City 22:07 - Apr 5 with 4558 views | Longashton | Hello from a Bristol City fan. Ahead of our forthcoming game I’m putting together the opening post for our forum’s (One Team in Bristol, https://www.otib.co.uk/?_fromL match thread, which will be posted the day before the match. I would like to include some perspectives from your fans so if anybody would like to share info please do, anything would be appreciated, fans thoughts about the game, players who have represented both clubs, tales from when we’ve met previously, a fans view on your season, etc. Look forward to receiving info and to a great game. | | | | |

| Visit of Bristol City on 08:16 - Apr 6 with 3820 views | nix | The two obvious players that used to be ours are Sinclair Armstrong and Rob Dickie. They seemed to have opposite trajectories in that Dickie started brilliantly for us and was a breath of fresh air. He had a tendency to pull players down who ran past him when exposed for lack of pace but generally was a good, solid CB with surprisingly nimble feet for a big guy, great positioning which often covered for the lack of pace and a thunder cracker of a shot that won us some matches occasionally but joyfully. Until he wasn’t. I’ve heard he fell out with our former manager Michael Beale, hard not to, but whatever he was a shadow of the player and could hardly bring himself to put a tackle in. In the end we knew he had to move on regretfully as he seemed bereft of confidence. Armstrong looked like he could barely find both feet at times but was a lot of fun and in a team as slow as ours which at the time was like a group of pensioners crossing a busy road to the doctors to have a prostate check his pace provided at least some light relief. He needed a huge amount of input though to even learn how to be an actual footballer and in the end despite the effervescence we weren’t distraught to see him go and most of us were pleasantly surprised by how much you reportedly paid for him. The away day at yours is one of my favourites. It’s a lovely city with some fab pubs and restaurants and a nice ground. Helped by some recent good results at your place and decent fans who you can have a laugh with after the game. We’re currently on a very slight upward trend after a very difficult time with injuries and loss of form. Losing Burrell, Madsen, Chair and Dembele - our main playmakers - at the same time was a serious blow to any outside chance of the play offs and we fell off a cliff after Christmas. But we’ve been playing a couple of youngsters who’ve been doing increasingly well - Morgan and Kolli and to a lesser extent Bennie - and Kolli has really found his shooting boots, so things are looking better. You’ll also remember Paul Smyth from the famous (for us) halfway line goal at yours and the winning header from last season. He’s been on his best form for the club recently and added more goals and assists to his general energy he provides to the team. We hate possession and haven’t won for eons with more of the ball so if you make us play a lot in front of your midfield/defence we’ll probably implode… | | | |

| Visit of Bristol City on 08:42 - Apr 6 with 3693 views | thehat | 1) The ruck in The British Queen pub on the Uxbridge Road a few years ago was like The Wild West. 2) Nahki Wells our old friend scoring a last minute winner at the School End gave me the bang needle for ages. 3) Being in the away end with my 14 year old Daughter when Yoann Barbet scored a last minute winner in front of us. Not celebrated a goal like that and my Daughter ended up 4 rows in front. We still talk about that moment now. Love Bristol it’s a great city with great pubs and people and always enjoy my visits there. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Both teams have 57 points having both recorded 16 wins, 9 draws, and 9 defeats to date. With both clubs making consistent losses and still reliant on ownership funding, I don't expect our paths to diverge greatly in the short-to-medium term (incoming play-off system notwithstanding). I think the OTIB fanzone first came out at the time the Gas had left Eastville and were playing at Twerton. Hence the title.
| Fulham FC: It's the taking part that counts |

We've scored as many as Milwall, conceded as many as Shef Wed and have had more 0-0s than anyone else. As Nic pointed out, we lost our key playmakers mid way through the season but have been finding a way more recently. (First season) Kone's been leading the line well, (young) Kolli's been scoring as has Smyth, (young) Morgan is growing into his attacking midfield role. 0-0 then.

| Visit of Bristol City on 12:21 - Apr 10 with 1267 views | 7374Ranger | There seems to be an unwritten and secret agreement with both clubs not winning against each other at home in recent seasons (although QPR seemed to have unilaterally started this more than 15 seasons ago). | | | |
