The how the f*ck did we lose that one highlights QPR 2 Derby 3 21:10 - Apr 25 with 3893 viewsbosh67

Really should have won this comfortably. One of the differences was their keeper. Much much better from us in the first 60+ minutes and should have been well out of sight. The Burrell injury just rubbed salt in the wound.

Never knowingly right.

Classy third goal there. Fair play and all that.

Walsh concedes that second goal and this board goes into full.meltdown. Not heard much about Nardi today. I thought he was nervous throughout. Difficult for him when he's not played I'm so long but he's no better than Walsh for me. Hopefully we bring in a new first choice keeper this summer. Someone who can catch the ball and come for crosses.

The answer that the question as to how we lost that is….. “Adamson”

Drill into it and the supporting answer is Nourryvirus.

Players like this at this level will only have one nett result
Concerning for next season

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

3 efforts on target, 3 goals.

Until the extended break caused by Mbengue going over the perimeter fence, we were the team cgasing a PO spot, haands down one of our best displays.

Even looked good after they equalised tge first time, certainly matched them. Had chances to put it to bed, but you could see it coming. The loss however, was harsh. A draw a fair result. Reminded me a bit of how unlucky we were at City's place in 2012.

There was definitely a lot to like, J, but when a team concedes three goals it's not unlucky.

Those highlights do not tell the story of the game, as per the BBC we had 23 shots, 12 on target, compared to Derbys 12 and 3, if only we could have defended the set pieces better, sadly Adamson appears out of his depth.

The first took a deflection and the third goal was skill over naivety. But the second was annoying.

The issue for me however, is just how quick we can go from being in the ascendency to being overrun, and with ease. Which is difficult for us to do in reverse. That's one of the issues for QPR: how to achieve consistency and a higher level of intensity.

I think it comes down to a bit of in game know how rather than let's give players some minutes. That has to change and if Stephan is under pressure to do this then he has to have a conversation with Nourry and the stat guys and tell them that you make changes to affect a game from game 1 to 46, not make sure players get a run out. If you are 2-1 up and you are struggling to kill a game off you (usually) load your midfield and make sure you are difficult to break down. Intensity only really exists if you have the mentality that every game is one you want to win.

Never knowingly right.

I hear you, J.

But, I dunno...maybe I'm being harsh. But that goalie choice was odd (if we believe Stéphan's reason for it), no sign of Dunne, Cook binned off, fitness still appalling, more injuries.

It's not all bad luck.
I said earlier in the season that our beloved club have been soft for most of my lifetime, and they have. We were pure soft yesterday. It's not just bad luck.

We’ve conceded 70 goals this season! Only Sheff Weds have conceded more in the entire Championship. Steve Bould is another one stealing a living at our club.

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

For the second they had every player bar the keeper crowding into our box - what happened to leaving 3 on the halfway line?

We only did it a couple of times and then scrapped it. Why not look at that situation yesterday and give it another go?

Exactly.

Yesterday was simply a perfect example of what many of us have been saying for ages. Injuries meant we had to make subs. Why do we have so many injuries? Is that “Performance” function performing the best it can and delivering good results? Palpably not.

And then that side we had on the pitch for the last 20, where was the leadership, the Championship experience, the grit, the game nous? No Cook. No Dunne. No Field. Edwards started to get beaten in the air. JCS turned to jelly. Varane (who’d had a good first hour) disappeared. The subs struggled to get up to speed.

Everything Stephan said we lacked and needed more of in his first press conference last week was shown to be the case yesterday. The evidence is in front of us and Nourry.

We went from Kone and Bennie up top terrorising their defence to a very chubby unfit Chair up there on his own offering no threat at all.

We went from Smyth terrorising them down the left to an out of form Saito.

We went from Mbengue having a solid game at right back to Adamson who looks like he will end up another Aaron Drew.

We went from Morgan having his best game of the season to Madsen who seemed to be playing within himself not to get injured.

Derby did the opposite they finished the game with a team of big, fit Championship players just how you imagine a John Eustace team to look.

We finished the game as so many have gone this season soft as shit.

Dont worry, many here dont want Mbengue in the team, let alone at RB and Bennie is apparently L1 at best!!

The foul for the free kick that led to the second goal was so dumb.

If it was Adamson conceding it, what was he doing over there?

I ll try to give few reasons why we lost...
Non existence midfield
Poor defenders
Poor goalie
Serious troubles with match fitness and fitness coaching.
Total lack of game smartness and toughness.
