Not food they don't make but food we fall out of love with.

I haven't had a jam tart in ages - literally years - so grabbed a pack earlier. They are just so great.

I'm half way through a punnet of strawberries, they're just about okay but not great, In a Months time I'm going cherry picking at a local orchard.
I bought a bag of pear drops today.
I'm missing liver and bacon with gravy and mashed potato's.
I'll have to have a word with herself.

I haven't had a Cinnabon in about 15 years.
It would be impossible to just eat one, so I had to go cold turkey.

Arctic Roll.

Part of a staple diet in the 70’s, not seen it in 50 years but the wife recently rustled up one from Lidl or B&M or the like, it was smashing.

Turkish Delight.

I loved it when I was a small kid. So much so that, stupidly, my parents bought me a whole box for my birthday. Like any self respecting seven-year-old I ate the entire box in about fifteen minutes. I spent the rest of the morning puking my ring. (which gave our dog a chance to enjoy it too.) I haven't touched the stuff since.

Gehackbrot - had it in Germany, just outside Lauf am der Pegnitz. Raw sausagemeat, spread on buttered black bread, raw onions, pickles and paprika (because Germany only has 2 spices). Sat outside in the sun with a hefty lager from the local brewery.

Enjoyed it but the experience was ruined somewhat by the faint sound of my ancestors spinning in their graves.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Spaghetti Hoops on toast used to be a firm favourite, followed by Butterscotch Angel delight. Must be 20yrs since I've had either.

Dear Mr Lewis.

Thankyou for your manuscript entitled The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe.

We feel that it may require quite a bit of editing before it is suitable for children but we wish you the best in your future career.

Yours etc.

My Nan used to make a decent Baked Alaska. And an excellent beef Goulash.
Never had either since.

Mum used to do stuffed hearts with bubble and squeak when I was a kid. Haven't had those since approx 1983.

Smells like a trout farm in here

SPAM (Not this thread)

And Frys Chocolate Cream

And this time of year I love Jersey Royal Potato's but crazy price this year.

On a side note, I am with Ted. I love Liver, Bacon and Mash - BUT I hate the onion gravy mainly because my Mum used to force me to eat that and I hated it. Getting nice lambs liver nowadays is difficult
