Bloody Hot 22:21 - May 23 with 6711 viewscolinallcars

And set to get worse. No trains from Hammersmith today, so my intended Richmond pub crawl off.
Hope it's not too hot for Glasto.
I don't know what that is, but my new scullery maid asked for time off to go.
I refused, of course.
What's it like where you are ?

Scorchio down here near the Solent. Continuing to dig out for a new pathway and patio in the back garden. Plenty of water intake. Finished yesterday to watch the play of final and sunk the coldest of Spanish lagers in minutes. Don’t normally drink lager but these are lager days.

Poll: Where will Clive put QPR in his new season preview

Yet Trump, Farage and the far right don't think there's a climate emergency.

There is no denying something is going on but is it as simple as the planet is heating up. There have been some days this month where the temperature has been well below average.

The welfare of future generations is of no concern to them.

Been a long time coming this; grey, wet and dreary for what seems like forever. Loving it.

Climates change.

Car showed 39C on Friday. But it had been in the sun for a while.
I'm also 600 kms south of most of you, though.

In 1911, temperatures reached 38 degrees that whitsun bank holiday.
Was there a climate crisis then, too?
And if so, what happened?

I read about that period a while ago. Farm labourers weren't allowed rest and some died in the fields. Some people died of food poisoning as, with no refrigeration food went bad quickly, and poorer people couldn't afford to throw food away.

Changing trains at Clapham Junction yesterday I walked up the stairs to the glazed walkway that links the platforms. Felt like I’d entered a nuclear reactor. Pity the poor f*ckers who have to stand behind the counters selling hot pies all day.

At least they won't have to do any work, no one's buying a hot pie today!

You should be ok with Carling as that’s pretty close to drinking water.
