Anyone would have thought they’d just won the league. Staved off relegation & celebrating like lunatics.

Hope they get relegated next season. They are a club that generally get way too much praise. And they think they shoild always be a Champions League club. Basically they are nearly always incredibly shyte !!! Bang Average !!! And while am at it, Liverpoool similarly overrated club. They booed one of their top players leaving who came through from a young age in Trent Alexander Arnold. This season standing ovation for Andy Robertson, likewise leaving... I thought Everton were embarrassing. Didn’t really matter to them to be fair but still. I wonder if Moyes stuck 2 fingers up at West Ham? Put on 2 kids instead of more established faces in the bench . Ndaiye , apart from 1 run looked like he was deliberately slowing everything down . Didn’t he play for Enfield before Sheffield United ? Might be wrong. So ‘on the beach’ it’s hard to believe . Also when we got relegated in 1996, didn’t we coincidentally beat West Ham 3-0 but still got relegated due to results elsewhere? It’s a long time ago

I think we were down already after losing at Coventry and the great grey United shirt fiasco. I was in a pub where the sound was up on Spurs and down on West Ham. Was David Sullivan with his wife or his granddaughter? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I know we were already down when we went to Forest on the last day . Think we lost that 3-0 too. My long standing memory of that afternoon was the Forest fans congregating in front of us then applauding us as it started to look a bit dicey . And all the R’s in fancy dress .

No that's not correct. We did indeed get relegated the day we won 3-0 at home to West Ham in '96 [Post edited 24 May 18:51]

Sure. Switched off after Coventry, we might have had a chance of catching Southampton still. [Post edited 24 May 19:11]

Going into that West Ham game we were second bottom on 30 points, four points adrift of both Man City, a place above us and Coventry who were fourth bottom. However both Man City and Coventry won away at Aston Villa and Wimbledon respectively, whilst we were beating West Ham.

Of course they did Boston, we lost but 'what a day'. On the pitch celebrating then the drive back home to the local pub to continue with the joy of staying in the Premier......the old saying 'supporters have short memories'!!!

That contract needs tearing up and is not like west ham have anywhere else to go .
