Always enjoy some Lovers. Someone finally posted the Jean Adebambo album on YouTube, never been released on CD. Opening track, Believe In Love, is just about my favourite.

I wanted to remind myself how amazing British Reggae was, and probably still is.. But as an old codger, I don't get out so much these days! I'd love some links to current UK reggae bands.

Apart from Winston, Joseph Hill (with the possible exception of Capleton and Bunny) is my fav. Reggae vocalist, and it seems to me that Cumbolo and its producer Sonia Pottinger are two completely underrated gems in this genre. This record burns two sevens for me.

I bought loads of reggae/dub back in the early 80's but most of it was on Greensleeves and the reason for that was because Greensleeves Records were based here in the Bush at 44 Uxbridge Road.Rangers and reggae! Clint Eastwood and General Saint,Yellowman with the classic album ZUNGGUZUNGGUGUZUNGGUZENG,Eeek-A-Mouse and Simple Simon with the fabulous Life in the Ghetto just some of my buys back in the day. Beautiful !2" releases in colourful Greensleeves covers. Based now in Hammersmith Road but I would imagine more corporate then back in the early 80's. Check out YouTube.
