Sad news. It was fun times watching that team in the early 2000's. We really could have gone either way after relegation in 2001 but him and Holloway resurrected the club.

Met him a few times and he was a proper gentleman. Really nice bloke and, as you say, the straight man to Olly's comedic approach.

Always wondered if he would have come back as a manager but the Briatore regime seemed o burn that.

I got to know Kenny fairly well in my time working at the club whenever he came back with a visiting team I would always say to him welcome back Kenny. He would always smile and reminisce about those glorious 2001 - 2004 years. I could just tell he had a warm spot for the Rss. You never hear anyone say anything bad about him at all which says a lot. Like many have said I always thought he would return as manager one day. RIP Kenny and prayers are with Ryan and your family

I think Ferdinand wanted him as manager at one stage think it was when Fernandes stepped in and went with Holloway

Terribly young. The team that lost at Cardiff was the first I remember and he’s held in very high regard by my Watford mates.

Surprised how young he was. In my mind he was old then and now I’m only a bit younger than he was in his first year with us. Life is short. For all the worries we have, big and small, nothing really matters apart from your health and that of the people you care about.
