When I worked in telemarketing in Fulham Broadway (still the only job I've ever been sacked from) I used to regularly have my frequenting of the local very decent chipper interrupted by those filth.
For them to now receive this further grinds my gears, - even if it is a ridiculous name and seems to have only one other branch and will probably fold in 2 years time with the CFO doing jail time.

My wife is from the northeast and there is a chippy in South Shields called Colman's. Many say it's the best in the country.

There used to be one in St Albans and the chips were astonishingly good 👍. Takeaway chips and gravy from there on a cold winter's night, consumed between pubs - there are so many good one in St Albans - used to be wonderful. |  |
