Hi. I hired a car from EuropCar and drove back to the airport via Bloemfontein road on a sunday, and just got this fine. Given my car was a hired one and brand new, I wonder what the problem with the car was? I'm very annoyed, £160, plus £50 admin fee to EUropCar of course

The alleged contravention was detected as a Camera/Operator known as VA136 and is supported by recorded video evidence.
I also got another for parking illegally, I took my disabled mother in law, had a badge, parked 10 minutes in a disabled area, they didnt see the badge so got a fine, as it was a camera. I am contesting that one, but still got charged £50 admin by EuropCar. |  | | |  |

I’ve emailed H&F a number of times with a simple question which they have refused to answer. There is no right turn onto the A40 from Bloemfontein Road and there is no exit from Stevenson Road to Old Oak Road before this scheme which begs the question how can Wormholt estate be used as a rat run Uxbridge Road to A40 east or west. What is annoying is that you pay a road tax and expect to be able to use all the roads, and not receive fines when you do. And if you do want to challenge anything, it's made as hard as possible to do so.
Very much of the view of the many: the 'driver' for this and other charging schemes like, drop off charges at airports, is to get as much cash out of us as possible!

been well singposted for months since they brought it in , funny they alloawed it esp on match days when our very ouw boy wonder is sitting with the council these days , causes utter chaos on match days when the local roads used to be easy to get away from.
as en ex resident they shuit the rat run from white city to eact acton down way to many years ago prob 25 years or more , so the new scheme makes zero sense it actually takes longer if u come through the estate from white city past the ground and along the uxbridge road than sitting on the A40 . getting away after the games i chaos now as more cars comonto wormholt from uxbridge road than they ever used to before they brought it in [Post edited 8 Jul 11:10]
