Watching footage of Balotelli's stamp on Parker, shows conclusively that Webb saw it and ignored it. Be interested to see how the FA deal with this. Balotelli's actions there for all to see, will Webb say he didnt see it?

Indeed. If it was deliberate then he has phenomenal spatial awareness considering he couldn't see Parker and neither were stationary.

If it was anyone else it would get the benefit of the doubt.

What it proved was that Webb's head was pointing in the direction of the incident not that he saw it. Only a headcam on him could be close to proving that conclusively.

He looked in the direction of the incident. You could see him then look down towards Parker, and then wave his hand to indicate play on.

The kick was certainly deliberate. Not sure he actually knew he was directing the kick at Parker's head. If Webb says he hasn't seen it, then the FA should charge and suspend Balotelli for violent conduct.

I'll bet it all gets swept under the carpet. Webb will say he saw it but didnt deem it violent or dangerous. And the FA will say they therefore cant do anything.

He did point downwards, whatever that meant but I often see nothing when I'm looking directly at it.

Are you in controversial mode this evening?

Webb pointed at it presumably to say he'd seen it and would come back to it, played on but then stopped play for a head injury.

I'm saying I'm not sure it was deliberate, which is different. It wasn't like Pepe's stamp on messi, for example. It's possible he could have been trying to avoid Parker.

Bare bones.

Bit like the Rooney thing for England.

Did it spare of the moment cos he could, then realised what he'd actually done.

Dumbass.

I've just watched that normal speed and you hardly notice it. It's only on the slo mo replay that it looks bad, and I'm not convinced its deliberate. I agree he places the foot backwards but if he was a Rangers player I'd be defending him

I struggle to believe that he has the mental capacity to plan to stamp on someone and fall over in a split second. Because it's Balotelli people jump to conclusions not unlike with one of our own.

I don't think it proves that Webb saw it. Webb was looking the other way and turned back just as Balotelli was landing the stamp. From there he had no idea of knowing the intent, just saw the impact. Danger of watching replays in slow motion and drawing too much from it.

1 - Webb never saw it otherwise he would have dealt accordingly.

2 - Balotelli knew he was stamping on 'something'.

Webb was clearly looking away when the attempted stamp happened. It was not a natural movement so must have been deliberate, but it doesn't look to me if the stamp actually made contact with anything. I think the injury was caused when Parker's head hit Balotelli's shin earlier which was accidental.

With the stamp afterwards there was clear intent to injure by Balotelli and JB was sent of for intent in a much less obvious situation, so it will be interesting to see what the FA or PL do in this case
