Exactly mate, he fked us pre season, we have never recovered. There have been some absolute cretins behind the scenes at Rangers, but he has to be the king. I'm just repeating this little phrase above, so that those who said it, can go now, and boil their own heads.

We can't keep blaming Briatore for this mess.

We have the players at the club well capable of keeping us up but they have to a man taken the piss out of the club and fans with a disgraceful lack of effort, application and professionlism.

We've played 30 games and invested good money in there signings in August and January.

When we signed SWP, Barton, Campbell, Cisse, Onouha and Taiwo we were all delighted and rightly so. But each of these players have been an utter disgrace.

Yes Briatore should take some small blame, but the fans and board have been truly shafted by these frauds.

stupid argument, might as well blame thatcher.
we've spent loads more than norwich and swansea but we acted like billy big bollocks handing out £80k a week contracts to chancers who are only here for the money.

What happened to all that stuff that was being spouted about Hughes' teams fighting to get the ball back when out of possession?

The second we won at Watford we should have been preparing for the Premiership, not at the end of August thus creating a 'fire sale'

Can't blame Briatore.

Losing Faurlin and not replacing him sealed our fate however, we did make many mistakes prior to that.

We don't have a team. We have a squad consisting of mercenaries, old players, previous relegation fodder and egos.. We were promoted off the back of Taarabt, Faurlin and Kenny last season. You take Taarabts assists and goals away and we would have been mid table. Taarabt can't cut it in the Premiership, Harry was right.

Yes, Briatore took his time to sell but we have spent a lot of money. In the transfer window we bought the wrong players. Six signings and not one striker. We should have bought no nonsense, hard working, down to earth players who can pass. Instead we signing egotistical, journey men with relegation on their cv.

The January signings are good players but they have discipline problems. I hope we have learnt our lesson, we need to start checking a players character before signing them and copy the templates that Norwich and Swansea both followed. I'm fed up of players who throw their dollies out the pram and think they are better than what they actually are.

Sorry, didn't Faurlin play in every game of that terrible run that ended with Warnock being sacked? This idea that he was our shining knight just doesn't stand up. Faurlin played more than half the games - goals 1, assists 0. Yes, he's more of a defensive midfielder, but he is hardly free from criticism.

If you want to use stats then faurlin had made the most amount of tackles in the premier league before he got injured.

I'd say he should be pretty free of criticism.

Considering the club was tendered for sale immediately after promotion, should 'Uncle Tony' perhaps paid the asking price and bought the club in June, rather than making derisory 'offers' for West Ham, then taking the club at a knock-down price?

Only he was playing alongside Derry in a completely uncreative midfield partnership at a time when we were in freefall. No one is free from blame in this squad, apart from perhaps Cerny, Smith and Helgusson

It's his money, that's a pretty appalling and selfish comment Jamie, just because someone's rich it doesn't mean we should expect them to pay over the top even if it is Qpr , Fernandes and the Mittals have paid off a hell of a lot of debt and should they walk away it's their money the lose because they would never get that amount back.

Is that the case? If so I didn't know that, in any case TF is after all a business man so you can't blame him for trying to do a deal.

Of course it's Fernandes' money, however you can't say Briatore is a w@nker for not selling up quicker and ignore the fact that Fernandes bought the club late in the day, after spending a prolonged period trying to buy West Ham.

For all the bile spewed regarding Briatore & Ecclestone, £22m was invested last year to get us to the Prem.

Of course a swift changing of hands would've been ideal, but you can't sell without a buyer, and FB & BE walked away breaking even, rather than earning a fortune.

If you had a chance of buying the team you support wouldn't you explore that avenue before trying elsewhere?

Absolutely, but when said clubs owners tell you from the outset the club is not for sale, I might consider looking elsewhere rather than launching a PR campaign with the fans telling them what an amazing owner you'd be without making an offer.

Briatore made a handsome profit on the back of minimal investment. We were only ever an investment vehicle in his eyes to be sold to the highest bidder once promoted to the Premier League. He could not care less whether he left a legacy behind or gave us enough time to prepare adequately for life in the Premiership.
