Rumour has it on Twitter West Ham have bid 18m for Carroll!!!! Not sure I can see him going there and that's a lot of money for them to spend in 1 hit. Didn't realise the owners were that rich???

I was just thinking the same - i thought West Ham were in danger of going into admin if they'd missed promotion due to massive debts?

How can they now be splashing the cash? As we know, promotion doesn't make your debts magically disappear.

£18m is still more than Carroll is worth, £10-12m max.

Ok he is not great but that kind of ability in the air is very very rare these days. He has the leap and the technique.

I imagine Big Sam has guarenteed them a top ten finish with Carroll in the team.

And with his tactics so suited to a big striker I wouldn't rule it out.

this is coming from Ian Abraham's (moose on Talk sport) and also David Sullivan's son. West Ham fan I work with believes it's just another attempt to sell more season tickets however Carroll's agent is the same as Nolan and Big Sam so I would imagine they wouldn't be in for him unless they thought it possible.
