Strikers 01:17 - Sep 1 with 1364 views | QPRSteve | Anyone else worried about our lack of strikers? We have Cisse, Zamora and Johnson. Bothroyd's gone and presumably Campbell will go soon. Any injuries and we are going to be severley restricted in our options up front. Suprised we didn't sign another striker today.
Strikers on 01:28 - Sep 1 with 1344 views | DylanP | Strikers: Cisse, Zamora, Johnson, Mackie, Taarabt, SWP. Pick 2 of 6. That doesn't even include the young 'uns we've got. Nope. Not worried [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Strikers on 02:46 - Sep 1 with 1312 views | SonofNorfolt | Steve is sort of right. We only have 3. The others are wide men, not out and out forwards. Due to the 25 squad, DJ is unlikely to get a look in, which is a shame. They did try and get Defoe a couple of weeks back which highlights this point.

No they are not. Mackie was a striker first. So was Adel. Both have been pushed out wide because of our excess of strikers.

....more to the point lack of wide men. Oh for a Dave THomas, or even SWP staying on the touch line and working on crossing a ball.

That's right, we don't really have an out-and-out winger. SWP is the closest we have, but he can't actually cross the ball. Mackie and Adel have done well paying on the wing, but neither are wingers in any sense of the word. Adel plays a roaming forward drifting midfield role, form out wide, using the space it affords him to do his magic. Mackie is a striker who can run from anywhere and everywhere and get past players.

Strikers on 11:09 - Sep 1 with 994 views | baz_qpr | Mackie is the 4th striker, if we are short anywhere its in the number 9 dept backing up Zamora
Strikers on 11:12 - Sep 1 with 988 views | bosh67 | It's not that we don't have good strikers, more that we don;t now have much aerial power if Zamora is out. Helguson provided that and Cisse is okay in the air, but we needed another link up man in my humble opinion. That's why I would have bust a gut for Carroll because although he's not worth 35m he's certainly a much more talented player than anyone gives him credit for, as he'll probably prove at West Ham. On another note however Frankie Sutherland is the real deal. Whether he gets on a pitch or not is another thing but this kid is fast, has Helguson's build and certainly knows where the net is.

That would make sense. Campbell has scored goals in the PL and proved himself to some extent. Ephraim never has.
Strikers on 12:11 - Sep 1 with 917 views | Nov77 | Neither Zamora or Johnson are prolific, if Cisse loses form or gets injured we have a lack of goalscorers, that's why letting HH go was wrong, would have guaranteed 8 or 9 goals this season.
