Best footage I've ever seen was made the late Steve Edwards who owned a cine camera and filmed the day. The best bit being it was in colour. Until I watched it I never knew the Baggies wore all red that day.

I’ve wondered about that footage for a while now. I have a vague recollection of him offering a copy to the club, but not sure it ever happened.
It may have been lost forever
RIP Steve “sniffer” Edwards

Very good quality, so much better than the BBC DVD I have. Things to note: West Brom 2nd goal offside. Goalies catch the ball rather than push it out when making a save, sensible goal celebrations - no knee-sliding or corner flag knockingover.

Agree far better than the DVD I was there somewhere with my mate Roger ( a very 60s name ) One year on from my first game. I thought supporting QPR was going to be so easy .....silly me

A wonderful day. I was a callow youth that couldn't handle much beer and ended up being sick in the General Smuts whilst watching the highlights on Match of the Day. If that's what it was called back then. Mind, Watney's Red Barrel was better out than in.

Steve passed away over a decade ago (Fearless, when exactly?) and never got the opportunity to put it online. I got to see it at the tv company that made the Channel 4 programme about Michael Nymans 'Cocerto For Football'. Myself and Steve helped the producer with pieces of memorabilia for the show etc...

Steve told me his Dad filmed & he still had a copy in his 'garage'. Last year his ex wife got in touch with a mutual friend & told him she was clearing out all his QPR 'junk' & would he like any of it? He brought most of it round to me but alas no film of that day I wrote a little obituary in AKUTR's in 2006 he loved this club
