Only watched last ten - this ref seems awesome!

If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled. PG Wodehouse

The second was a pen to be honest, and we'd be screaming for the last one, too. Ref is a Ranger, I reckon.

If he's not Rangers he's Fulham!

This is hilarious' Chelsea down to nine men and now having to defend in extra time, what a superb referee, does he support the Rs......

Thing is if there is karma given hazzard/Pedro etc then they are due a few bad decisions. Personally I wouldn’t have given it as a pen but wouldn’t have booked the player as there was some contact.

Cheating vermin scum.

I’d rather watch us getting beaten every week than support filth like that lot.

Brilliant to see a ref give a 2nd yellow for dissent. Far too many players get away with screaming directly in the refs face when they get carded.

Rooney being the worst. Lost count of the amount of times he's got away with shouting 'F*** off' inches from a ref's face and not been pulled up.

was never a penalty, touching someones shoulder and trying to pull them back shouldn't force the player to fall forward flat on his face, the Norwich player didn't stop him from getting the ball the man just threw himself down as he had been touched, It was a clear dive never a penalty

How many times have you seen it though, a player is “pulled” back and falls forward. It’s a dive.

Strong and stable my arse.

Interesting one. The defender's hand on his shoulder could be either holding him back or forcing him too wide to chase the ball. How much actual effect it has is hard to judge but there is at least the case for a penalty. I don't see why impeding/grabbing/shirt pulling/etc should be as tolerated much as it is.

That Morata then falls forwards after the lightest touch on his back is clearly a dive but he had grounds for thinking he should get a penalty. I suppose that does make it a yellow - the ref had already tolerated the foul - as it is a separate offence.

But it is a contentious series of events and for the ref to then give the second yellow for dissent is a strong call: Morata had genuine grounds to take issue with the ref's view of proceedings.

I am all for refs cutting out the in-your-face disputation of decisions but in this case, at least, I'd have said something along the lines of "Decision's made, now back off or get a second yellow".

And much as I dislike Norwich for our hoodoo against them (as well as, well, they're just an awful club, aren't they: I mean, that song, 'On The Sodding Ball'!) I got absolutely no pleasure from Chelsea's clinical penalties. The less-hated club lost.
