| Goalscorer!! 17:17 - Dec 6 with 1044 views | DylanP | Six goals in the last two home games. The chances are coming and the goals are going in. What a joy! After years of having to sit through rubbish like Dykes and Celar, it is a joy to have two strikers who battle, who are in the box for loose balls and not hiding out by the D, and who can find the target. Goals will come for Kone. No doubt about it. He has all the tools. His hustle was responsible for the last two goals. He is a joy to watch and Burrell, well ... he could be a 20 goals man before this season is out. Wouldn't that be amazing? Our leading scorer was Frey last year, with 9 goals. Burrell has already matched that. Long may the chances fall to his feet!! Also, can't underestimate the role of some of our midfielders. Madsen looked great today as did Chair, before he went off. Saito and Dembele weren't completely effective today but they are both always going forward, putting defenders on the back foot, creating chances. Smyth is always a threat. And I've been impressed with the abilities of both Mbengue and Norrington-Devis to turn defense into offense. We are playing well and you have the feeling that there is better to come from the likes of Kone, Sait, Dembele, etc. Rich run of form right now and great to watch! [Post edited 6 Dec 17:23]

Burrell is simply signing of the decade. Saito has dropped off since he went away with Japan. Like to see more from him. Dembele I wouldn’t have in the squad. The big question is can Frey contribute anything especially if Kone goes to AFCON. Sadly looks like Kolli will need to move on. Looks a bit slim up too still for me especially as we’ve nobody in midfield who could do a Merino type job. Gotta agree though. Having actual strikers we own who are mobile and scoring is the stuff of wet dreams
| Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal |

Kone is very good when he has the ball at his feet. Good control and strength will get him the half yard needed. He isn't going to be running on to balls after a 20 yard sprint though. Not his game. If he goes to AFCON I think we will revert to 4231 with Burrell up top and any one from Chair (if fit) Dembele, Saito, Smyth, Vale and Poku behind him

Now we've got nippy players all over our attacking third; Burrell, Smyth, Saito, to name a few. Plus, we have players who aren't afraid to run with he ball at their feet. It wasn't that long ago when Dunne was our most creative player and the best player for carrying the ball upfield. That was insane. Now we have all kinds of players running at the defense, carrying the ball upfield, Obviously, none of our payers are perfect. If they were, they wouldn't be playing for a middling Championship team. But it is such a relief to not have to watch constant back passes and sideways passes.

In the second half Kone seemed to me today to finally work out what his role is in that slightly withdrawn position, good hold up play, bossing defenders, creating chances. But Dembele, Saito and particularly Smyth all frustrate, Smyth has to stop falling over every time a player comes near him, he won't get anything from a sane and suss ref because it is so obvious. All three have talent but squander it in various ways
