Nothing to do with Oxford. We won the Milk Cup in a two legged final with Liverpool.

Almost as bad as 86 but they beat us 2-0 in 1987 which put a halt to our 8 game unbeaten start to the season! That day is probably the most pissed I’ve ever been in a football ground and to this day don’t know how I wasn’t nicked after abusing everyone in earshot including the local plod!!

Was the same at the final. Thankfully only vague recollection of that day

I imagine we have played them several times since that final and beaten them.

Our first game back in Division 1 after relegation in 1996 for one. 2-1 win was it, coming from a goal down?

Anyone remember the last pre season we played them (2009?) was It Adels debut?

Also they only opened one bar at HT and it kicked off to the point they had to open the gates to let people go get a beer at the bowling alley 😂

I remember a guy stood in the line getting angrier and angrier talking louder and louder “don’t they know how much rangers fans drink “ 😂😂

My only memory of that night is literally covering the whole of Oxfordshire via B roads as Finney tried to get Son Of Norfolt to some birthday party in Hanwell before last orders.

And he did.

Well ‘86, bummer. But that’s it, win some lose some. Stupidly my application for a ticket, mailed from New York, omitted to contain the cheque that the enclosed letter had said was included. No cell / mobile phones back then, not for the plebs anyways, but the BO took the trouble to look up the details of past ticket buying and called my mum to tell her that would hold one for me, pay ‘em when I got over. All went well ‘till 3pm.
Don’t hold any grudges against Oxford though, even went to watch them on their North American tour about seven years ago where I pulled a bit of a prank on some of the lads. Man Utd were also playing locally and I asked half a dozen people would they like to watch United, I’d get the tickets....

I'm no Nostradamus but I reckon Saturday 20th July will see the first posting of a Warburton out' thread on here. Unless we announce other games prior to the 20th.

‘Warburton out’, doesn’t have a catchiness to it. War..burtons blue & white army works quite well though. Will a run of wins mean Rangers are on the warburton path?
