Odd. All of Burnley's goals were fortunate, but you still cannot argue with the result.

The good: Dykes tireless running and flicks, Shodipo added energy and directness, Sam tried hard in midfield, Hall made bold half time changes. And we had a good spell for the first 20 minutes of the second half and with a bit of luck could have got a goal.
The poor: Willock didn't look up for it and mishit one decent chance. Seny, for the first goal should have had that side of the goal covered + although he can't be totally blamed not even moving was poor, his save for the second just pushed the ball into the path of the Burnley attacker.
The ugly: lack of dynamism in first half. We won hardly any 50:50 balls and Burnley were stronger in the tackle. Not sure if Dunne or Dieng was responsible for the third but it was ugly.

Having criticised Dieng I think it was just a question of adjusting after what must have been an amazing experience for him. I'm sure he'll be sharper once he's got used to the cold. As for Willock I wonder. Maybe not fully fit in spite of a month off or maybe he know he's on his way - Glasgow? Brave decision by Hall to pull him, but I thought it was justified.

No need to lose hope but maybe mid-table was always realistic. In the end the result all down to Burnley being a significantly better team.
