Wonderful! Everton put out a strong side, if not quite their first team and we were the better team in the first half with some sparkling play especially from our favourites Chair and Willock down the left. Everton looked dangerous throughout and put us under a lot of pressure in the second half. Sitting in the upper Loft it's not easy to see the detail of what happens at the other end, but it looked like we did well to keep chances to a minimum. The half-arsed floodlights didn't help - are we saving money or is it the energy crisis?

So not only a good game where we matched a team in the top half of the premiership, but then showed great resilience and held our nerve taking penalties at the away end and put away 8 without missing any.

Warbs substitutions were brave and did well. Duke-Mckenna (ex-Everton) looked good and great to see Luke Amos on the pitch, both putting their penalties away convincingly.

And all done without our star man, Johansen. If there is one minor criticism Albert isn't a wing back and never got the better of the Everton defenders after being comprehensively dispossessed by Gordon early on.

I'd have liked to give all the team 10/10 in the ratings - they deserve it, but in the end have been more realistic and the MotM is between Charlie and Chris Willock. You can't fault two goals and a solid 90 minutes after a couple of less inspiring performances, so Charlie gets it.

We're on our way to Wembley!
