 | News Comment | Southampton V Sheffield Wednesday The Verdict at 17:11:42
Is anyone confident that sports rep are going to get this call; right? Based on their track record I'm a little worried. Write a list of managers that you really do not fancy to the the job in order of least favourite and that will probably be similar to their short list. 6 PTS against average teams is fine but the squad is short of quality in vitally crucial positions. If I could sign one position in January it would be A GK, Rambo on loan maybe. COYRs |
 | News Comment | Time For Sport Republic To Rip Up The Manager Blueprint And Appoint Experience at 10:47:37
The possibly bigger issue than a manager is lack of striker, solid GK and average CBS. Any manager would struggle with these baked in weaknesses. There are a handful of decent players in the squad but far too many mediocre ones which can't be sold because nobody wants them. Sports Republic please sell up. COYRs |

What a choice. Turin or Southampton. Juve in serie C would be my option every time. Wonderful culture, food, sunshine, wine, quality of life and sensible cost of living. Spors, get on the plane you will not regret it. |
 | News Comment | A Big Decision Week For For Southampton FC at 17:20:25
We're in the sh*te and without a goal scorer or reliable defence we'll struggle. Sports Republic own this mess but don't have the will to sort it out. If Will goes who/what replaces him? Another obscure appointment who has to stabilise the club with the current crop of mediocrity at their disposal. How can owners get it wrong time after time? COYRs |
 | News Comment | Southampton At Blackburn Rovers The Verdict at 10:42:04
We're in a right old mess. Sports Republic are the issue, bad management decisions, scatter gun approach to transfers, not buying a solid GK, CB or striker, not having a director of football for 9 months. If I was a conspiracy theorist I'd suspect that the issues mentioned above were a deliberate ploy to hide some kind of financial shenanigans. As others have said, after yesterday where do we go. Huge credit to the loyalty shown by our incredible fans. You'll be there long after the clowns have packed up and left, you're the heartbeat of the club and you particularly deserve much better than the rubbish you're being served. COYRs |
 | News Comment | Southampton V Swansea City The Verdict at 13:35:25
Very frustrating being a saints fan with the amount of money spent) available and yet cannot beat very average but well organised teams. This championship division looks weaker than the one we left last year but we're in the bottom half of the table a quarter of the way through. It's hard to gauge if progress is being made in part because of the churn within the selection process and the defensive formations - 5 at the back and 1 upfront against Swansea at home? As for the injury to the only potential regular goalscorer in the team. Not exactly unexpected was it. Things could of course be worse and changing the manager isn't the answer because sports direct will replace this one with another obscure choice. We're not going up this season which isn't such a bad thing but once the parachute payments run low sports directs transfer policy will be fascinating to observe. COYRs |

Football is too boring with RMs comedic football turns so looking forward to the next job he gets to provide everyone else with the entertainment. Shame poopey are doing ok so far.... |
 | News Comment | Southampton At Derby County The Verdict at 22:14:53
In my first comment I was joking about Will 'Ian Beale' Still going back to Albert Square. EastEnders aren't interested in writing new tragic story lines for him so may as well let Sports republic so that as st Mary's square. I wonder what the big Christmas twist will be? Sports Republic sign a decent CB, GK or striker? Nah, bit too far fetched even for a soap opera. |
 | News Comment | Southampton At Derby County The Verdict at 22:10:11
Agree with others that there's no point going up this season as we will come down just as embarrassingly as last season. Sports Republic are a second string bunch of costermongers whose specialty is owning second tier lower level European league clubs so we are where we should be. COYRs. |
 | News Comment | Southampton At Sheffield United The Preview at 17:40:50
Whilst sports Republic are in charge not much is likely to change for the better but all the fans can do is support the club and hope the future is better. COYRs |
 | News Comment | Will Still Says Players Have To Get Out Of Bad Habits From Previous Systems at 11:44:40
Not a great deal has changed at the club over the past 4 seasons. Still the same absence of decent CBS and lack of goalscorer and stacking the team high in mediocrity continues. Sports Republic view us a championship club so that's what we've become. There are worse places to be I guess. COYRs |
 | News Comment | Southampton At Watford The Verdict at 10:04:47
Fair report Nick including the point about new players coming in so hopefully we've seen the end of 3/5 at the back. Bazuna again beaten by a shot across him but he's generally improved and with the signing of a decent CB he'll have fewer shots to face. Big weekend coming up.... |
 | News Comment | Southampton V Stoke City The Verdict at 10:44:40
Bazuna looks much sharper this season but the second goal was a specialty of his - shots across him were something he often conceded from. The CB and striker issues have not been addressed for 5 seasons so can't see how they will now. Money in the bank doesn't get results on the pitch. |
 | News Comment | Everton Said To Have Reached Verbal Agreement With Southampton Over Dibling at 00:03:07
I very much doubt they'll pay for a striker or decent experienced CB. Apart from Fernandes have SR bought any talent in? I can't remember, which is ironic as there professed model is nurturing talent and selling at a profit. We've needed a striker scoring nice Ings left and a decent CB since fonte left but we've bought around 4/5 average/injured players in those positions and we know where that has got us. |
