Sounds similar to the place you went to in Pilzen. From memory you’re given a top-up card in advance which you put credit on and then your beer consumpton is metered like with a petrol pump. You serve yourself the beer from the pumps spread around the edge of the bar. I found it all a bit confusing tbh and not being the worlds best barman managed to waste quite a lot of beer. I guess that would improve with practice but for me it didn’t really work. I also didn’t think the concept would work over here for the reasons you said and in truth much easier to just have a couple of bar staff!
Maybe. I’m quite surprised they haven’t tried it already so either they think he’s better off where he is or they don’t see it working. I’d say any concerns would be about his ability without the ball rather than with it.
