Just unexpectedly bumped into the entire squad coming through the T3 customs hall about 15mins ago... I think they must have come in on Singapore Airlines or Cathy Pacific. I had a brief chat with Sparky & Hill, all accounted for & all very tired after a long, but enjoyable trip...

I thought I was pretty much there, but only found out last night that the 'purpose' of the two marked "D" on a football pitch, was to keep every other player a maximum distance (10yards I think) from the ball during a penalty kick...
Nice to learn something new about the beautiful game, anyone got any other not so obvious rules you'd like to share??? |

Just read online the following...
'Deal to KO Bale-out (Rob Beasley, Sun) Gareth Bale has been offered a new £70,000-a-week deal to keep him at Spurs'.
'Juve lure for Drogba (Sun) Didier Drogba was last night offered a two-year £80,000-a-week deal by Juventus'.
Now I know they're both quotes from the Sun, but are they really that far off the mark (personally I thought both were on a shed load more??)
This is presuming we are paying the reported £70-80,000pw to Barton??
Also, who thinks Barton should even be in the 25 man squad, considering the amount of games he'll miss...??

Just to deflect the weekend nerves away from reality for a moment...
Surely with TF listening to the fans, the chances of getting our beloved Adidas kit back is a real possibility, but who knows for sure whether the current Lotto deal expires at the end of this season or do we have to endure another season?!! [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

'QPR boss Neil Warnock is set to re-sign Tottenham defender Kyle Walker on loan for the whole of next season.
The 21-year-old had a spell at the club in the first half of last season before he moved to Aston Villa for the second half of the campaign.
Highly-rated by England chief Fabio Capello, Walker had been expected to return to Villa Park.
But the departure of Gerard Houllier as Villa manager makes that move unlikely - and it could facilitate the ex-Sheffield United defender's return to Loftus Road.
One stumbling block could be Harry Redknapp's need to add to his defence at White Hart Lane, but if feels he can afford to let him go then Warnock is expected to land him'. |
