|Wot no Pompey Cup Fred? - Fred|
at 14:55 26 Jan 2019
Apologies if Spackman - couldn’t see one below. First time for me, so hope that’s not a kiss of death?!
No Eze in the squad?!? Hopefully we’re not about to sell him. Pompey will score, but I’m hoping we’ll be too much for them. Seems like a 442 with Manning and Scowen in the middle and Pav and Freeman our wide. Interesting to see how Wells and Oteh play together.

Fave chant of the afternoon at Kyle Naughton after numerous tumbles, moans and whinges at things not going his way:
"S*** Kyle Walker! You're just a s*** Kyle Walker!"

Great to see him get some recognition for his hard work and contribution by making the MOTD team of the week with Adel. Amazing to see what happens when you play in your best position eh?
Also does anyone think that Harry's come up with NeilSI's spine of the team? ie Green, Nelson and Hill CBs, Faurlin and Mbia CMs with Adel playing behind Cissé?
I think this should be the spine, with Diakite and Derry as cover for Mbia and Granero for Faurlin and Adel.
Finally, I love that Mbia and Faurlin are providing the platform for Adel to perform, much like Derry and Faurlin did in our promotion year. Mbia is like Derry 2.0!!! I bl**dy love him!

I think we're all pretty agreed that Hughes must go as he has as much admitted himself, he is clueless.
Bearing in mind who we have, which players make the "Gives a s***" squad and who has to go?
I think the following should be allowed to stay (!):
First XI: Cesar
Young Hill Nelsen Ehmer
Taarabt Faurlin Diakite Mackie
Subs: Derry Harriman - erm can't think of anyone else.
Jury still out: Granero, Hoilett, Onuoha, M'Bia, Cisse
In the name of all that is good, holy and just please go: Green, Bosingwa, SWP, AF, Traore, Zamora, Park, Dyer - who have I missed?
The above team may not win many matches - can't do any worse than the current lot but at least they might care.

Only just recovering from last night. To a man the team were IMMENSE!!!
Kenny - most definitely having a party with some top drawer saves and a few for the photo album!
Taiwo - boomed his way through the match with some unorthodox but effective defensive tactics, a literal giant against the Spud munchkins.
Hill - We just like watching him, nuff said.
Ferdinand - We said his name, here, there everywhere, in tandem with Hill unbeatable.
Onuoha - a few wobbles, but 100% commitment to the cause, never once shirked, (needs a song).
Barton - As Ferdinand, here, there, everywhere, playing like a captain should.
Derry - My Lord, thank you.
Diakite - The way he glides passed opponents is a sight to behold, and he's learning how to tackle!
Taraabt - Too good for them and clearly too good for Tw@ttenburg.
Mackie - An example in the pressurising and harassment of defenders to win the ball and take them on. Assou-Ekoto sh@t himself everytime Mackie was on him, so much so that he couldn't take any more of and was taken off!
Zamora - Ran his socks off, could have done better with a few opportunities, but totally committed.
Buszaky - Again staked a claim to start.
Home Supporters: Made Loftus Road into an intimidating cauldron of noise and support - Definitely influenced the tone and fighting spirit of the team.
To those who were there - you know what happened yesterday, despite all the media b****x.
To those who weren't, and were supporting in spirit, the boys did us proud.
YOOOUUUU RRRRRSSSS!!!!! Bring on the Chels****!!!!
(Apologies for the long post - am still buzzing from yesterday!)

...chuffing annoys me at times. Dion Dublin, after having just said that you could see Ivanovic moving his leg away from Danny Welbeck, then says that Welbeck did not intend to fall over! He knew exactly what he was doing! I feel dirty at saying that C***sea got done, but they did.
The Evra penalty was as a result of him looking to take a dive at the slightest contact, not too dissimilar to the way Sturridge fell over last weekend. Very soft
I hate this blind media acceptance of the "dark arts" because it is blatant deception. I know it's playing the system, but I still hate it.
I also hate that Helguson aside, we seem to be pretty rubbish at it! I know, I know I can't have it both ways!

Thought he had a solid game, but as with the entire defence, lacked any sort of protection from the midfield.
Definitely happy about his signing.

Apologies if this has already been pointed out on previous threads, but Norwich do have previous for this sort of cheating. I remember a match v Bolton earlier on in the season where Marc Tierney, under the faintest whisper of a touch from Klasnic fell to the earth as though pole axed by one of Tyson's finest. Klasnic was sent off.
Moments later...lo and behold, a miracle!!! Tieney lives!!!
I feel sick - worse than against Sunderland where the loss was significantly of our own doing. Today we were denied a properly competitive match by incompetent officiating and downright cheating. And Brendan Rodgers says that WE'RE a physical side?!?!
Mr Swarbrick, I suggest you and your colleagues go and officiate rugby matches and stay well away from football as you clearly do not have a clue.
Stilton with a nice glass of port btw.
