Great report Clive, but I would say that in effect the gap to Plymouth is 5 points.
Their goal difference -1 ours -13.
That means we have to win 2 whilst Plymouth lose 2 just to catch up-and this is written before WBA away and Leicester at home!

I think the celebrations yesterday were more of relief and the thought of dropping down into League 1 with all the carnage that would have led to .
Yes changes will need to be made between now and the beginning of August but let's not forget that QPR have been playing in the top two divisions-bar three seasons between 2001-04-since 1967!
That is quite a remarkable stat for a club of our size.

Living in hope that Burnley will have both eyes on their clash with Blackburn.

The line "don't have one boy capable of standing up front and doing his(Lyndon's) job for a dozen games" was put into perspective having watched"The Big Match Revisited".
Luton away 1979.Playing up front for us that day..Clive Allen and Paul Goddard.Both having come up from the youth set-up.Yep you read that right!
Of course Clive scored the equalizing goal that day.
Watching that and equating it to the mess we are in now would bring a tear to a glass eye.

A very interesting read most of which I agree with.
But the "most reasonable measures that dictate your place in the game these days" had me scratching my head and hopefully you or somebody can answer a question that has me baffled.How do the criteria you use relate to say Bournemouth and the Bees?
How does Bournemouth survive in the Prem/Championship on gates of 10000?
How does the club pay everyone on those attendances?
Secondly it was only season 2006-07 that the Bees finished bottom of League 1 and were relegated to a division that we have never been in.Now they could be playing in Europe next season!!
There new ground only holds 17000, less than our place (18000 ish)
I'm probably missing something really simple but how do Bournemouth and the Bees compete on such small -for the Prem-attendances?
