Darnell Furlong Interview - The Athletic
at 15:14 21 Aug 2019

Not sure how many people have subscribed to The Athletic, or whether you can access it as part of a free trial, but there is a very decent interview with Furlong Jnr there.

Goes into Furlong Snr walking the U18s off the pitch recently, his QPR debut, and his move to WBA. No surprise that he comes across really well.

New Commemorative shirt from 100 years at Lotus Road.
at 12:28 12 Feb 2018

Quite smart imo, although preferred the all white one from last year.

Not cheap at 61 quid. They're doing a limited pre-order period, and then not making anymore.

Luongo absolutely fantastic tonight. My Motm. Used the ball intelligently, carried it forward really well. Strong in the tackle. Class.

Doom and gloom aside, how's this?

Pavel Wzolek's magic,
He wears a white hard hat,
He'll whip a cracking cross in,
He'll renovate your flat,
He'll sprint past his fullback,
He'll fit your kitchen light,
WHETHER IT'S BUILDING OR IT'S FOOTBALL,
HE'LL WORK RIGHT THROUGH THE NIGHTTTTTT,

End of Season Awards Out - It's Hall
at 08:36 5 May 2016

POTY - Grant Hall
Player's POTY - Chery
EDS POTY - Furlong
Goal of the season - Hoilett v Brentford

Think we all knew Hall deserved it, despite his recent touch of the Connollys. Would have had Chery v Bolton as goat of the season though.

In talks with Kevin Constant?
at 08:31 12 Jan 2016

Meant to be in talks with ex-Milan LB Kevin Constant. Can play LM or LB and he used to be decent on Fifa. So we sack off our two young promising LBs for an ex-Milan 28 year old? Sound familiar.

Chery - Changed the game for me.
at 19:06 28 Nov 2015

The difference when Chery came on was incredible. To see someone drop deep to offer for the ball, and use it intelligently everytime he got it was a massive difference to what came before. Hoilett flattered to deceive as always with zero end product, and Phillips did little up front. For me Chery was the game changer. Austin's hold up play improved things massively, great to have a proper focal point on the pitch, but that little Dutchman really sparked us into life.

Potential CB targets?
at 15:24 29 Jul 2015

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed but now Caulker has cleared off, we might just be left a little short at CB. Unless Remy is elligible we clearly need to strengthen. Who would you want to sign as replacements?

He is saying a lot of the right things.

I'm sure some of this could have been picked out of a Southampton/Swansea match preview.

"It'll be my job to make sure the philosophy's adhered to and pushed through the age groups, starting from the very bottom to the top.

"Hopefully we can make that pathway an easier one for players to progress through to the first-team squad. First and foremost that's what I'll be trying to do."

The Matty Phillips Enigma
at 18:27 2 Jan 2015

One issue I think we do have is we have nobody on our team who is willing to run past his fullback and deliver a decent cross. If we are going to play 4 4 2 with strikers such as Bobby and Austin it seems ridiculous not to have any old school wingers.

Hoilett flatters to deceive as we have all found out and has zero end product. Vargas we have seen has pace, but too often looks to turn back for support instead of trying to take on his fullback which is slightly disappointing. He also drifts in far too centrally which can block up the middle.

Phillips can and is, the only winger we have who does want to hug the byline and just try and beat his man on the outside, and importantly he has got a quality cross on him, but at the moment he seems utterly devoid of confidence. We have seen flashes of class from him inbetween various injuries and I would love to see him given a decent run in the team. Surely can't be any worse than Hoilett for a sub appearance like yesterday. Other than that we desperately need to get someone with a decent cross in this month. Or you know, coach someone, but this is QPR.

Arghh Harry Actually moans about not having a Right Back. Seriously. Honestly,
at 22:57 21 Sep 2014

"But I just feel at the moment we are open because we have got two wing backs-playing at full-back or wingers almost."

How fecking dare you Redknapp? Everything else aside, you now bemoan our lack of right backs? After you sold our quality, solid, well-integrated right back to our survival rivals!? This was your choice. Your decision. It would never have been done without you sanctioning it(if it had we would have never heard the end of it).

We all knew it was a bad decision but now he says this? I'm slightly gobsmacked.
