Out of my seat more times than all 3 previous home games. Exciting football, real fight from our team, manager off his arse. But...a sad sad end..went home in shock.

It was torture! In over 60 years of watching football the last 2 seasons have provided so little joy. Great strike by remy but only a small consolation for the end result. R's must be the unluckiest team on the planet. I am beginning to accept that we are just not good enough. Perhaps the most depressing factor is that our best player (by a mile) is only a loanee. There is no way Spurs will let us have him,he is destined for greatness, what committment & spirit he shows. Among the rest only Mackie comes close ,its such a shame he does not have the same skills as Andros. I am going to find it very difficult to do my usual 120 journey for the remaining games but will not give up hope until the maths are impossible.

Made the 60 mile journey home with a feeling of dispair. We had most of our new boys on the pitch but it just seemed like the same old team. Everyone turstatues as soon as they got 20 yards into the Man U half.
The first goal real knocked the stuffing out of the crowd and for long periods the ground was almost silent,as if we were at a funeral, & perhaps we were? Nobody was rubbish but then no-one was terrific. Credit once again to Mackie for his fighting spirit. Zamora gave us glimpses of the player he could be if his body was not letting him down. Cesar was helpless in both goal situations. jenas looked nothing special. Man U played the entire game in 2nd gear while we were almost in reverse. A sad ,sad day. Its not over yet but my heart is in my boots.

Came away disappointed (Again!),I had hoped that at last we would have a win by 2 or3 clear goals.Instead,it was as before. The spirit obvious on Tuesday was missing, perhaps the crowd lifted matters under the lights.
Much impressed by Townsend,he can the kind of debut you expect from a new keen young player.Jenas,s touch on the ball was very crisp and I am surprised to read comments about him on this site as he strikes me as classy.
Tarbs had an off game but despite the fact we had no slackers we were toothless, time and agin ther was no-one forward to pass the ball to.
We also had our usual bad luck, there was the penalty and then it seemed as if Norwich players had a ball magnet attached to them as scores of loose balss fell to their feet.
I AM UP and down like a yoyo, after Tuesday I thought we were on our way at last, after Saturday I feel as glum as I have all season. 13 games to go and quite a few winnable on paper, but that also applies to past games which wre not won.I am once again looking down at the Championship.

Phew! I wanst looking forward to this game as I feared a massacre.Instead we saw a rednapp masterclass in dealing with a far superior army.
A few things taken from the game.
1 Cesar is still world class & won the point for us last night.
2 Tarbs gets better with each game,in a different team he too has the potential to be world class. Why did he fade in the 2nd half?
3 Grenaro was shit in the first half & terrific in the 2nd. What did Harry say?
4 Sad to see Nelsen play for the last time. Only part of a season with QPR but he will now enter the hall of Hoops legends.
5.We can beat Norwich and if the spirit shown last night can be maintained the fat lady will remain mute.
It wasnt pretty or exciting but a very satisfactory performance and result. The crowd were terrific & did their bit.
Onwards & Upwards. Come on you R,S!

I might have my rose tinted specs on but I get a feeling that game by game Rednap is improving team performances. Spurs are packed full of talented players and 3rd in the table proves they are a very good team. On saturday they failed to break down what was one of the most error prone teams in the Prem.
OK there was a few goalmouth panic moments but we kept them out, quite an achievement. The other very noticeable change is that players are working harder, even Mackie is working more despite already being high octane.
I thought the whole taem did well with the exception of Park who ran around a lot like a dog in the park chasing a ball and never getting it.
Fabio was so good I thought maybe Man Unt had somebody at the game checking on how he was doing. The answer was he was doing very well. The usual suspects threw themselves into the mix, Hill ,Derry,Taraabt,Mbia,Cesar.
All in all a very encouraging ,if uninteresting match. The glaring weakness is up front where time and again we made nothing of opportunities because no-one was there to take advantage. I hope Harry gets 2 signings in the window, a Centre half and a tall front man.

Oh dear! I go to each game hoping to see the spark of revival and go home with my heart in my boots.
Our performance was so so poor, Rednapp is clearly having difficulty with this disfunctionable bunch of players. God knows what the dressing room is like but on-field they just dont want to know about each other. SWP & Cisse were terrible! As usual only Mackie,Hill,Nelsen & Mbia (+Derry when he came on) were remotely interested in playing with some pride if not skill.
It has to be admitted that Suarez (who I loathe) was on fire. He is the best player I have seen all season. His desire is something to behold. Even in the 2nd half when the rest of Liverpool were just strolling around he was hassling and buzzing about as if they needed more goals to win.A top top class player, pity he is an arsehole. On the latter subject we have quite a few of those among our supporters. Do "fans" really think it will improve matters to slag of their own team with "ironic" chants? It really pisses me of when frustration is expressed in a way which is bound to add to the teams lack of effort/morale.
Harry is still talking us up, admirable but I fear he must feel like the rest of us...totally gutted.

Whew! I turned to my mate at the end of the match & commented that this had been our Cup Final & Harry has echoed this feeling. Our best performance this season and at last we have a Manager who knows about players and how to get them doing their best. He has been in charge for only 4 games & already he has funadmentaly changed Adeles positioning and his role. Hey presto! He is once again the exciting and creative player we saw in the Championship. I wish to hell that Hughes had gone 4 games earlier as then we would maybe not be spending the rest of the season in a state of nervous tension.

Was surprised by the line up.Especially Mackie up front but he was OK. Yet again performance was patchy, Grenaro in particular just spluttering along. V surprised and a bit annoyed to see SWP on from the start, was there no alternative. He was a bit better than before & should have scored with only the goalie to beat. More all round effort, which is to be expected under a new manager,Boswinga in particular was much improved and several times realy put in maximum plus effort.
Tonight is seems that both injured players are OK,what a relief as Mbia & Diakite were our best players. Adel a bit quiet, nelesen ,a rock as usual,Clint Hill ditto.
I was really disappointed with the result as I felt a win was essential not just for the points but for morale ,which will not remain perked up unless that win comes ASAP. beginning to contemplate relegation but really there is still lots of games,we simply need to become a quite different team. easy eh Harry!
On the way home I met a bloke who has been going to matches since 1943..amazing!

Now its over I have a negative feeling about last night. Did not see the game (listened on radio) but I understand that the team played with more energy but nevertheless played in the same way as before. I guess this was inevitable as a new Manager cannot change a style overnight.I have been trying to ignore the posters who are saying we will be relegated but after last night I find myself contemplating this as a possibility. I guess I had hoped/expected 3 points last night on the basis of a Harry "bounce" .We didnt get it, the big positive was the clean sheet. We desperately need that "bounce" and ASAP, the more time that elapses without a win the more we will be in the merde (for Joey).
For this reason I feel that Saturdays game is a season decider and the most important match so far . Lets all do our bit and make sure the noise lasts 90 minutes. If we lose I fear we are doomed...so Come on Superhoops!

At times on Saturday I just could not look.In the 2nd half it was so obvious that the players did not have a clue as to what they were sent out to do. At half time my mate said MH would have to give the teamtalk of his lifetime.Maybe he did not bother as he was too busy looking in his full length mirror. I guess the owners are reluctant to sack him due to the financial knock-ons.Theye need to bite the bullet as he has made it clear he will not resign. "I will fight on" !!! He has not shown fight in any game yet so that is bollocks.Adel,Jamie & Ryan played with passion and anger (the anger no doubt generated by some of the others on the pitch.) We need a clear out of all these free loading "footballers". Look at WBA,Swansea,Norwich & West Ham...we should be ahead of them on paper instead we wallowing in the merde. Hughes out for me.

For me Ryan Nelsen was a hero among cowards. He fought & fought (always cleanly) & even got up to goal scoring positons when he could. Why is heart so big when he was a minor signing we all thought would be a backup player? He must keep the captaincy as he is the only credible candidate.Mackie to be Dep.

Yes I was happier with the selection today but would have preferred Hill & Mackie to have been in the mix. This more ballanced side has more or less evolved rather than be chosen by the manager. All other teams picked up a point or 2 today so we slip further adrift. I expect to see MH go during the course of the week & if not after the Southampton game unless we win by a bundle.Good to see a bit of backbone come into our play. I guess that despite poor morale some of the players are now playing for personal pride.

Doughnut ,I started going to Loftus Road in 1965,there has been some low points along the way but I cannot remember a season that appeared to promise so much and delivered zilch (so far). I am no fan of millionaires but I almost feel sorry for Tony Fernades. He is a new boy compared to you & me but as the owner he has opened his wallet & done his bit . We pay hundreds ,he has paid millions, we have all been let down by managerial incompetance . I hope he has kept enough dosh back to tempt Rafa Benitz!

OH dear! It just goes on..we played against a very poor team today. They had only one game plan & stuck to it throughout the match & it worked..mainly because Rangers did not come up with a way of dealing with it or indeed a game plan of their own.
I was so pissed off near the end I was almost hoping we would lose so that Hughes would get the sack & we could get the agony over at this stage rather than at some inevitable point in the future.
Has there ever been such a talented squad in the Premiership which just cannot win games? How on earth can a Manager fail to motivate & organise so many skilled players? We are now a joke for every other fan and club. Who can we beat? I am beginning to fear the worst in the Southampton game. OK we had enough chances to win today but so did Reading. The result was fair but pathetic when you consider their resources with ours. I reckon Messi would fail to score in our team because the Manager would put him in defence or something equally stupid. Roll on the tumbril!

SWP got a start! Is the man mad? Last time out I said its always worth bringing Mackie on as he has a habit of doing magic, today he showed that he should have been on from the start. Last season I thought we had put up with 10 years worth of bad luck,I never thought we would get more! We are as far as ever from a settled side. We do have heros,Nelson & Cesar in particular but what about our manager? For me he must go if we do not win the next two. Just look at Fulham under Johl he has had less time & similar money and they are well up there. european places

Up to now I have been critical of MH team choice but against Everton I think he put out a strong team, its a pity it was so patchy. There is no "feel" about our team & I think this is because they are a bit like a mercenary army...bought in to do a job rather than "grow" within the club. Not much can be done about that especially with a manager devoid of motivational skills. We played well in the first half but the half time team talk (whatever it was ) seems to have put an end to that.
Cisse looks fed up,Zamora is lumbering about upfield, Park works his socks off but frequently fails.
Of the new "boys" Nelson & Grenaro seem the most committed, I think the former should have been made captain as he is very bossy and gets stuck in with a vengence (but doesnt foul). Is Mackie injured? He is always worth bringing on as a sub as he knows where the goal mouth is , (unlike SWP).
