Leicester boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has paid tribute to legendary Town boss Sir Bobby Robson ahead of today’s game at Portman Road. The Swede famously sat alongside Robson in the home dugout after making a fact-finding trip to Suffolk when a young manager.

Eriksson said: "I went over and asked to look at training and I did on a cold Friday morning. Then I came into his office and I asked him if he had five minutes. It must've taken two hours I think!

"At the end he asked me if I had a ticket for the home game, I think they played Aston Villa. I said I didn't but would buy one. He said 'No, now where do you want to sit, with the chairman or together with me?' So I was sitting on the bench with him in a First Division game!

"They were a top side. They won the UEFA Cup in 1981, and the year after we won it at Gothenburg. He was a fantastic man, not only as a coach and manager but as a human being as well."
