Rangel Likely To Miss Charlton Friday, 11th Jul 2008 09:09 Swans defender Angel Rangel admits that he is unlikely to be fit for the start of the season Rangel has recently undergone groin surgery and whilst he was not totally ruling out an appearance on August 9 at the Valley he was pretty much left to think that he would miss the Swans opening Championship fixture. Rangel was an almost ever present last season in his first season in Wales and he earned rave reviews over his performances following his move from Spain. Throw a couple of goals into some fantastic runs and there was always a danger on the right flank when Rangel was in the team and there is strong belief that he will carry that form into the new season and the new division. But as he recovered at home as his team mates enjoyed their training camp in Swedent, Rangel was in reflective mood, telling the Evening Post "I think Charlton may be too early for me, it's a big disappointment for me. "I felt my groin at the end of last season, but after missing three games I came back for the last two and thought I was okay," he added.
