Bradley Wright Phillips transfer was part paid by Coca Cola, that might be the real thing, sadly Bradley himself wasn't

Bradley Wright Phillips was a flatterer in that too often he flattered to deceive, yes he put in plenty of running and some, mainly in the northam End took this as a sign of commitment, fact of the matter was that for most of the games he played he was a headless chicken.

It cant be denied that he had the knack of getting the odd goal or two, some of them at vital moments, but the stark truth is very were too rare and too little and for every goal he scored there were a plethora of chances were he really should have done much better and increased his goals total.

But perhaps the main problem was that for a striker he never showed any awareness of the game, yes he would chase a lost cause, but he never made a run that screamed out for a through ball, never opened up a defence and for all his pace he had the control of a runaway steamroller.

So its fair to say that BWP wont really be missed, its been a costly few years though, his wages alone would have topped the £1.5 million pound mark in those three seasons, add to that the £750,000 transfer fee and then divide that by 121 appearances and it works out around £18,500 per game not taking into account the yearly loyalty bonus's, yes some of this fee was paid by Coca Cola due to a young female supporter winning a competition, lets just hope that she drinks Pepsi now !
