Loan Deal For Tosic Close Saturday, 20th Mar 2010 20:19 Swansea look to be close to sealing an emergency loan deal for Serbia international Dusko Tosic Paulo Sousa confirmed that the defender has been training with the squad for the past week and a deal is 'possible'. The FA have given clearance for an emergency loan deal to be completed following an initial knockback a fortnight ago due to complications regarding his contract at Portsmouth. Tosic joined Pompey in February on a free transfer after leaving Werder Bremen earlier in the month and has been linked with Wigan Athletic and Stoke City. Swansea are struggling for fit defenders with Fede Bessone, Albert Serran and, again, Garry Monk all out through injury, leaving just four available for selection. So the signing of Tosic, an experienced international with Serbia, would be a big boost for Sousa and his side. "It is possible, we will see," the Swans boss told BBC Sport Wales. "He's training with us for the last week and it will be a possibility. "Regarding our difficulties we have [with injuries] especially in our defence, what we need is fresh players without injuries who can help us."
