Saints travel to MK Dons looking to take a lead back to St Mary's

Saints go up to Stadium MK looking for a win, and the Dons will hold no fears for them after the team they call Franchise FC were destroyed at St Mary's

However Alan Pardew has some rejigging to do after Saturday with boyt Otsemobor and Seaborne inelegible having played for their previous clubs in the competition.

Also out is Dean Hammond and David Connolly is struggling and will probably not be risked.

The biggest loss is Hammond who anchors the midfield, however Pardew has several other options to replace him including using Paul Wotton who replaced the injured skipper on Saturday.

At the back it is a case of playing Lloyd James at right back due to neccessity and it seems a simple choice to slot Chris Perry in alongside Jose Fonte with Hammond at left back.

In midfield its a little more of a conundrum, does Pardew play five across the middle or opt to go for four with two up front.

Personally I would go for the five, Lee Holmes on the left with a middle three of Wotton, Schneiderlin with Lallana sitting in front and then Waigo on the right, leaving Lambert up front.

That would leave a bench that could include Antonio, Gobern, Thomas, Mills and Patterson, meaning we have cover in all areas of the pitch.

Saints season has gone a little off track in recent weeks, but the JPT has focused it in previous rounds and can do so again, whilst our near neighbours may mock this competition, the fact is we are in it and we should look to win it and a trip to Wembley is not to be sneered at, the Blue Few should care to remember that, especially as the biggest date they have in London lined up is a trip to the High Court.

Saints, even depleted should be strong enough to overcome MK Dons, Alan Pardew talked a month ago of instilling a winning attitude into the side, since then its the last thing we have had, we have the best squad in the division, its now time for them to start showing it by turning it on in front of both a large travelling support and an even larger bank of fans watching it at home on the box.
