LFW's look back at the  weekends action from the Coca Cola Championship.

We start tonight with the Sky game and West Brom extended their lead at the top of the table by 2 points following an impressive 3-1 win against Hull at the KC Stadium. The Baggies are looking like real promotion contenders as they have begun to take their awesome home record on their travels with them. Kevin Phillips was yet again amongst the goals with his 16th of the season.

Watford slipped into third place as Preston turned the form book completely upside down, by beating the normally impressive travellers, 1-0 at Deepdale. What looked like it could be a fruitless weekend for the bottom three, turned into anything but as Colchester earned a decent point at Bristol City. However, their reward for their efforts was to drop to the bottom of the table following the Preston result. Scunthorpe were beaten 1-0 away at Southampton.

The 6th vs 4th clash ended all square at Portman Road as Stoke gained a more than creditable point against the Tractor Boys. The team that win one week and lose the next, with alarming consitency,  Coventry, were beaten 2-0 at Leicester. Burnley at home next week for the Sky Blues, I know where my money is going...

The biggest win of the day came at the Valley as Charlton racked up a 4-1 win over Blackpool.

And finally, the team who have very quietly crept into the top six, Crystal Palace, continued their incredible turn around with a resounding 3-0 away win at Wolves. Palace of course, were below QPR in the table earlier this season, it can be done...
