It may have been a bit warm for football but Pompey and Bournemouth played out an entertaining 3-3 draw in Alan McLoughlin's testimonial at Fratton Park.

Macca's Pompey service saw him introduced to the crowd before kick-off and he was well received.

Pompey got off to a flyer and Gary Roberts put them into the lead after beating Simon Francis and beating the keeper.

Bournemouth, getting a good workout ahead of their second season in the Premier League, levelled on 25 minutes when Lewis Grabban converted a cross from close range.

A minute later Pompey were back in the lead as Michael Smith poked home when an Enda Stevens shot was deflected to him.

Pompey got a glimpse of a couple of trialists - Chris Konopka taking over in goal and Amine Linganzi coming on soon after.

Plenty more changes followed for both teams but Eddie Howe's team levelled again with 20 minutes left when new signing Jordan Ibe fooled his man and fired past the trialist keeper.

Lee Gosling put the Cherries ahead for the first time but it ended with honours even as youngster Adam May scored a late equaliser.

Pompey's next test sees them go to Ryman League Bognor on Wednesday evening.
